Lifting while sick

opinions? if you know your under the weather but feel you can still lift is it benifical still go or are you prolonging being sick?
 
the times i have been sick i still lifted but it pry wasent too good of a workout. if you feel good enough to lift then id say go for it
 
Depends on what I am sick with. If it is sinus, I find a good work out really helps, actually. If I am running a fever though, I usually don't go, if for no other reason that to try to not make others sick.
 
If I don't feel like going to the gym...I don't.

When I get there...I do what I feel like (this is the case every day).

Of course I also load up on rest, water, and vitamins.
 
Listen to your body. Go and workout light and if you feel weak and shitty just leave. I've done it before when i went got ready, did an exercise or 2 and just didnt feel good so i packed up and went home and rested. You body feels like shit for a reason, it wants you to rest!!!
 
I've always heard the rule of thumb here is that you are okay to lift if it the sickness is from your throat up, anything below you should skip...of course, get more rest and drink more water than usual in either instance.
