Lifting Routines For Martial Artists

Curious as to what type of a weightlifting routine you guys use. I know it might be better suited on the training boards, but I wanna hear what all your MAs use. What would be an optimal routine for fighting and such? I would think something to teach power and explosiveness. Though, I have heard that if two warriors are of equal skill, the fighter who is bigger will win. How true that is, I don't know. I don't have as much experience as I'd like.

I used to lift to (of course) get bigger. The basics: heavy weight, low rep, lotsa rest. Worked well.

So, I lost my brain and went and got married, and bailed outa the gym for about a year; lost all that size, too. Now I'm just a skinny f*ck again.

Started back in TKD in Nov, but I've been plagued by injuries, which I'm attributing to muscle weakness. I'm going to start a complimentary weight-training workout, and have been throwing a few ideas around....most of which involves higher-rep/lower weight type sets.

Other than "good ol' weightlifting", I'd also be interested in hearing from others who lift and train MA.
