Lifted till failure

So for the first time I lifted till failure on my Chest and shoulders

All i gott say is wow, I got the biggest pump and pain ever (felt awsome)
By the second excersise I couldn't do half the weight I normaly do ...lol
Felt good, im gona do it all week just to switch it up.

I lifted 12 ours ago and I haven't been this sore in a loong time.

I'd advise you to call it a one-time bone-headed mistake and never do it again, lol.

Seriously, man, what you did is akin to this......say you normally flat bench 225x10, then you have your buddy take a baseball bat and smash in your sternum, then you go to bench 225 and only get 1 rep because you made it "harder" than normal by lifting with a broken sternum and several cracked ribs.......but the sacrifice you made in load by purposely destroying your performance is too great.

Pumps and Pain are not signs of progress......improvement is a sign of progress. Training in the manner you did provides a shitty stimulus, and that type of training is the reason so many guys are on the anabolic board looking for exotic drug cycles because they are "plateaued" at a whole, whopping 180lbs, despite "years of hard training and perfect diet".

Excessive soreness means you forced your body to do something it is unconditioned to do......train for progress on selected lifts and get better at them.
