And there's holes in 'em, so based on mass, that makes it more like 7. That's just not enough candy in a package for me.
 
if you split the pack with a friend somebody gets an extra, so you have to open a 2nd pack to make it even....more sales.

I'm sure its some sort of marketing thing. Packs of gum are usually an odd number.
 
wtf?! I LOVE Math. I was always much better at math & science than English and Social Studies. I got something ridiculous like a 410 in the verbal and 690 in the math portion of the SAT. Im like an illiterate mathematician. I was even a Chem major my 1st yr in college until it got difficult, then I switched to the easiest major ever, Psychology.
 
There are eleven candies because that's what fits in the size package they want, with the size candy they have.

i agree that 11 candies is fucking bullshit, because you can never get an even amount of all teh flavors

i like to seperate all my skittles flavors into batches and eat one flavor at a time.

I always eat my least fave first so i'm left with a smorgasbord of all reds. the worst is when you're all set up for sheer unbridled ecstacy, and then some mooch comes along and you have to give him some of the good stuff
 
i eat it the same way cept i save the grape for last with reds next to last.

OT-When I eat potato chips, I start with the crumbs and smaller pieces, then continue in a graduated fashion through the salty archipelago until I reach the biggest ones. Now, Jolly Ranchers, I save the Green Apple for last because they're the tastiest and smelliest.
 
I like mixing the flavors. Lime + cherry is the best combination.
