Life is too damn fragile

I have been reminded of that three times so far this week.

I got to work Monday morning only to find out that a 38 year old co-worker was in the hospital with a viral infection and was paralized from the waist down. The docs don't know how it's going to turn out.

Then I find out that a nice old man who retired just last year, passed away on Sunday. All he ever talked about was going fishing with his grandkids and working in his garden. He worked all those years and never got to enjoy the dreams that he had.

Today a family friend passed away at 69. The one thing that I can say about him is that he did what he loved. He treated those that knew him with kindness and respect, andhe made those who did not know him feel like they had known him all their lives.

Get out and enjoy your life, follow your dreams and make them a reality. Hold your friends close, respect them, and live your life with honor.

Sorry things have been sucking for you. I know that the people I love, know that I love them. You never know when the last time you are going to see somebody is. My aunt that I grew up with died at 34 years old a few years back. We had a stupid argument the week before she died. Neither one of us got around to apologizing. I guess we'll get it sorted out on the other side. The moral is, if someone means the world to you, let them know before you can't anymore. I'm not saying that you love any of those people that you mentioned, but for future reference. Something to think about.

ya live is too short .....i worry alot about things like this about death and so forth.....i will say a prayer for you

I think that the field that I'm going into is going to change the way I look at things and probably soften me up a bit. I'm already finding out that death is often not a pretty picture. The process of it, that is. When you see what awaits people, it makes you feel sorry for them.

You will become a cyborg that is in human mode at home, but robot mode at l'hopital. You must do that or you will go nutz.
