Libertarians who wish to defund organizations like the NSA

The problem with the drone strikes is that it a unilateral decision to kill people which NOW includes American citizens. Its a fact that many people locked up for "terrorism" never committed a terrorist strike. In fact the Officer James Moody shooting in Manteca, one of the victims family members said "12 shots to your dome, Moody" on Facebook and Manteca tried to get him on terrorist charges.

This looks like terrorism to me...

I recently watched a video interview of a female CIA asset who tried to warn about the 9/11 attacks. She was in prison for a good amount of time because she tried to go public. There are still people in prison as we speak for things like this.

Why is it so crazy to want to remove the funding for organization who admit to wholesale destruction of civil liberties

NSA spying flap extends to contents of U.S. phone calls | Politics and Law - CNET News

Why? Because you don't know (neither do I) how many criminals/ terrorists have been captured removing your "civil liberties".

How many people you know, have been affected by this "wholesale destruction of civil liberties"?
How many people you know, know somebody who has been affected?

I'm answering. Z-E-R-O.

Why all this conservative wave of indignation didn't appear against Guantanamo? I'm a lawyer and I'd swear freedom has something to do with civil liberties (hey, maybe you know more than me, could be).

Why you guys don't complain about ECHELON? the CIA maybe? What do you think a Police investigation is about? Don't they suppose a "whole destruction of our civil liberties"? Could be, but we want safety, don't we?

It looks to me, call me crazy, that if instead of Barry it'd be approved by the one "there are, for God, massive destruction weapons in Iraq" all you guys would be saying "they do that for our country".

BTW, where are those weapons? :mix:

Do you usually insert your opinion on matters where you have no information or experience? I clearly posted a video showing a person that being shot 11 times without justification. I now talk with his family on facebook. I have a good deal more (people that I consider) victims that I talk with on social media or visit personally

Anyway I shouldn't even have had to say that. If you feel that the government is doing ok by you then say that. Your information-less and value-less opinion on my experiences is not needed or wanted

Agreed. Obama spelled "hope and change". Come to find out hope is lost and nothing's changed.
I guess that why his hair is much more grey now then when it was when he first took office. If you trash all your principals to fit what some in uniform feel a President should do , then I guess you'd have trouble sleeping at night....

1. He was supposed to end Guantanamo bay and hasn't
2. The torture was supposed to end and I guess it has. Instead of capturing , he just sends drone's to assassinate and he ok'ssome collateral damage of women and kids along the way
3. The Patroiot Act spying that he denounced during the Bush term, he has accelerated
4. The President that denounced the arrest of his Harvard Professor friend in his first term, doesn't even speak on police brutality issues anymore. Hell he praised the Occupy Wall street mass arrest in Chicago for that matter

He's made Mitt Romney look good with all this flip flopping....

the torture hasn't ended, it's just been outsourced more. President couldn't stop it if he wanted to anyway.
