Let Go....

Just got done replying to Zander and I realize that many lifters have mental blocks. Either from their daily life events, to preconceived notions, or even limitations set by other people.

To be free you need to let go. Let go of the fear of failure. Let go of preconceived limits. Let go of other people opinions. Let go of the norm. Let go of the pain.Let go of all the things that burden you, and be free.

Free to utilize all the strength you have without limits. By doing this you will tap into somthing most people can never understand, and you will never be the same

I'd hate to get bogged down in my own preconceived ideas. I certainly don't set limits on what I want to, can and will achieve... It wouldn't sit well with me if I did, so a nice reality check LS.

Nice post lord sust...

Good advice. That's what I've been saying all along. I get alot of questions from guys in the gym asking how I lift the weights I do. My reply, "Because I don't think about how much weight I'm lifting and the though of failure never enters my mind." If you learn to just let go of worhtless and silly ideas about strength-to-body weight ratios, or don't even think about how much weight you are lifting, you might be surprised how strong you really are. It can be downright frightening.

LS, I would say 95% of serious lifters have mental blocks just from chatting with guys at the gym, and even some really good bro's on EF. Anyone who says "Damn, that is insane... or I could never lift that" about another person's lifts, has just admited to it. Next time you see someone make an insane lift or post a PR on here, my advice is to say to yourself, and believe it, "Wow, I would like to try that sometime" or "I bet I could handle that, or even more, if I work at it hard enough".

When I go to the gym it is my freedom from the burdens of the world, all that's on my mind is pushing that dam weight, more and more every week.

BBF- very true, i like to say nice job, i plan or i want to be there someday too. You'll never get it unless you believe you will. 10 years ago I never thought Id be playing lacrosse, let alone play in college.

Want it, Need it !!!

Morpheus turns to Neo, his long coat flapping in the wind.

Morpheus : You have to let it all go, Neo. Fear...doubt...and disbelief.

Free your mind...

Morpheus spins, running hard at the edge of the rooftop. And jumps. He sails through the air, his coat billowing out behind him like a cape -

He somersaults once and lands on the rooftop across the street.

Neo : Woah.

Holla back sucka, I just did deads today at the spot!!!
