Less Bounce

Elite Mentor
So you are training hard to look great, and you are starting to do all the things that just say "I love me"

Eating healthy foods that support your well-being and fantastic body

Exercising for energy, fitness and a tight butt

Getting enough beauty sleep so you look fabulous

There is a couple of things missing from this list that I think women forget about when training and are JUST as critical if not more so for your body

1. A really good sports bra

2. Really good training/running shoes

All too often I see women out running, bouncing along on the tread mill or outside, and you KNOW they are wearing a normal bra.

The breast is only composed of mammory glands, fat, connective tissue and all of the shape and position are held there by these delicate tendons called Cooper's ligaments with some secondary support from the skin.

Once those go, they go, and then surgery is often the only solution.

This is the other thing that I think stops a lot of women from exercising, their breast HURT.

Solution: Sports bra

Ok, training shoes.

I don't mean going to any sports shop and buying those cute pink trainers as they will look great with your fav gym kit.

I hate to tell you this ladies, but all of those fashion trainers are just that, fashionable.

Yes, they are FAR more comfortable than a lot of the shoes we generally wear, but performance shoes, in general, are butt ugly.

If you are doing any sort of impact training, running, aerobics classes, get the proper footwear.

I do know how to get proper running shoes, a couple of helpful hints:

1. When getting new runners, get a copy of a running magazine and check out some of the latest reviews. There are a few makes that are quite reknown for making solid running shoes, New Balance, Saucony, Asics

2. Go to a specialised running shop where their either make you run outside in the shoes and watch you, or have you run on a treadmill and check for things like pronation/supanation or if you have any other stability issues.

3. Get more than one pair of running shoes if you are running more than three times a week and rotate them. Running shoes will only last 6 months to a year before they start to lose their shock absorbtion (even though it may not feel like it) if you are putting in some serious miles.

I am really hoping someone is an expert on getting proper aerobics shoes.

If you are in England, near London, Runner's Need or the London Running Club are fantastic for shoes.

For sports bras (notice I nicked the name for this thread), I have had the best success with LessBounce

OMG, I wish more women at my gym would read this. It's painful to wantch..

No kidding, it makes me think of National Geographic documentaries about various tribal women that never wear any bras their entire lives.

It has got to hurt all that bouncing.

The other thing I don't understand is that when women have implants, they think they don't need sports bras.

I would think that after spending substantial cash on your breasts, you would spend a few hundred pounds/dollars on decent sports bras.

That was the first thing I bought.

I have found the perfect sports bra for high impact, they are by Champion, nothing moves when I am wearing it.

I even wear a Shock Absorber (another great make) when I am riding my bike.

Or they think after havng implants, they no longer need to wear a bra. After my breast implants, I make sure I have good support. There's nothing we can do about gravity; nothing stays up..

Its hard finding the right sports bra-most of them don't have enough support

I have to confess, up until recently i was wearing two bras-a regular bra and a sports bra on top

what can i say i hate to bounce-not only it hurts but the stares <its uncomfortable>

i found out adidas and under armour its pretty good, and also anything with the wiring

How often do you ladies change your running shoes??

I have to change mine every 4-5 months otherwise i will get shin splints

I don't run but when lifting one also has to take into consideration that their sneakers are proper for the movements they are performing.

As for sports bras... I concurr 100%. One of the strongest bits of advice my doc gave me back in the day when I got the girls done was to INVEST IN GOOD SUPPORTIVE BRAS TO PROTECT MY INVESTMENT. LOL

Good thread Tatyana! Those are important things that one should never be cheap on. I always spend good money on shoes and bras. The ladies that have bounce issues I have a great bra for you. I have DD boobies and mine do not move when I am at the gym. It is the best bra ever! They are called shockabsorber bras. Below I have left you a link to check out. You can put in your bra size and level of activity and it shows you how the breasts bounce without a good bra and with the shockabsorber.

http://www.shockabsorber.co.uk/bounceometer/shock.html

I have loads of shock absorbers, and they make them in different impact levels for various sports.

Larger breasts, any sort of bounce bounce, get an impact level 4.

I was out running in one the other day, nothing moved.

I have also found that Champion make these fantastic bras as well, and they have a cotton jersey outer, so they can also double as a crop top.

As a guy I must ask why a woman would want to have "less bounce?" lol

But for real, aren't sport bras very uncomfortable? too tight? constrict proper breathing?

When you are training you don't want your breasts moving more than you do.

There are a few reasons for this

- too much bouncey-bouncey is going to destroy the fine ligaments (Cooper's tendons), connective tissue and skin that maintains the integrity of the breast, and they will end up sagging and you will end up having to wear a support bra anyway so they don't hit your bellybutton

- too much bouncey-bouncey has you stand out in the gym, the lads will stare, you will feel uncomfortable

- modern bras are a miracle of engineering, if it is fitted properly, then comfort and constriction is not really an issue. I quite like my sports bras, they sort of have you feel like you have a breast plate of armour on

I would actually recommend for women to have a bra fitting anyway, most women are not wearing the correct size.

It seems like most will increase the underbust size (which has the cup sizes increase), rather than going to a larger cup.

Your underbust measurement on your bra, for example the 32 of the 32 C, is not going to change very much unless you gain or lose a lot of weight, and it is basically what you measure yourself as with a tape measure.

The cup size depends on how many inches more the breast is from the underbust, and therefore varies with the underbust, so a 32 C is the same as a 30 D or a 34 B in the actual cup size (more or less, it depends on the manufacturer).

You may also want to be fitted in more than one shop, and for different bra manufacturers.

I have been fitted at Debenhams, and I love Freya bras (they also do bras and sports bras for fuller busted women, up to G and H cups, possibly higher and really pretty bras), but Marks and Spencer's bras do not fit as well in the same cup measurement.

The difference in comfort and shape is just amazing.

Freya online, you can find international agents from this site

Well for one it is not comfortable at all when your boobs are popping around. Also, I don't want my boobies sagging! I take good care of my girls. I even wear a cotton tank to bed that has a built in shelf bra in it to keep them a little snug. :)

Marilyn Monroe said she wore a bra to bed as well.

So did this older Polish woman I know, and she had great breasts, no sag, and she was in her 50s.

I use soft crop tops, and bras with no underwire to sleep in.

That way, when I do let the girls go free, they look fabulous darling :qt:

Exactly!! Same here :) I always give them support. I am sure the both of us will have fabulous boobies in our 50's :)

Great thread, thank you for posting.
I can vouch for the Champion level 4 high impact sports bras - my 36DD's barely move at all. Definitely a good investment.

lol at the national geographic
A lady comes into our gym, white shirt no bra ( nice boobies but way to saggy) she gets bending over and the fuckers droop down really far.
I was thinking about a episode of national geographic a african women poking a stick in a fire and her boobie was danggling over the flames when i saw the girls boobies droop.
So I know exactly what you mean tat !
that shit is funny as hell , serious girls need some support !
