legs... problem

hi, i've got a good upper body but legs are well behind. however, been on a bulk for about 2 months now and hammering legs, they are developing but just arent really growing in thickness, just more defined. they still look disproportionate to my upper body. this is what i do for my legs once a week:

squats - 4 sets, 6- 10 reps, i have great form
dumbell lunges - 4 sets, 8 - 10 reps
stiff legged straight backed deadlifts - 4 sets, 8-10 reps
calf raises - 4 sets, 10 - 20 reps

i also do deadlifts on back day which is 3 days after leg day

am i doing sufficient/the right exercises to really bulk my legs as much as possible? any help would be greatly appreciated cos im sick of having little legs!

thanks

use a 5x5 set up that outlines progression...

goes something like:

Squat 4x5 twice a week (monday and friday)

wednesday Front squat or back squat light... 3x8 or so.

Eat more to grow.

wouldnt that be too much? doing legs that often a week?! i may start to squat twics a week like you say, but shall i still include everything else just how they are? dont I need to wait a while to get a good base and strength in my legs before I can do them twice a week?

i squat almost exclusively for leg developement. and i train them as soon as they're not sore. make sure you hit the hamstrings too, and with a few different exercises.

Squatting two/three times per week is a matter of conditioning, not strength. Anybody, whether a complete beginner or veteran, can do it.

Sarge is right on " but i already knew that"
yes do the 3 x a week squat how deep do you go?
lower you reps and go for strength and power.

to learn more about the 5x5 read this link http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow1/table_of_contents_thread.htm

i.e. speed skaters. fucking huge quads. and don't tell me they tell their Uzbekistanian coaches they're too sore to train....
