Last straw...

PHATchik

Studio Gangsta
This is officially the last straw for me. I got rear-ended this morning by a woman who said she didn't see me there, then said she didn't even feel the impact! I was at a stop sign waiting to pull out on the highway, and she was behind me. She floored it when she saw an opening, but she said she thought I had already gone. My rear-end is trashed, and my neck and back have been sore all day. Question: how do you not notice that you have hit another car? It didn't even do a thing to her SUV. Where's the humanity?

This summer has just been anything but a bed of roses already. I got a ticket the other morning, my mother is selling the house I grew up in, work sucks, and various other things have gone wrong that I won't even mention. My poor car was the last straw though. :(

Sorry sweetie...I'm glad you're not hurt... things can go in waves... down and up....statistically you're in for better times soon. =)

Wow.

I would have lost it - I saw an accident like that not too long ago at the gas station.

Does she have insurance?

AWWW :bigkiss:

Have you seen the movie FRIED GREEN TOMATOES?

There is a scene in it that reminds me of this, where the young girls in the parking lot steal the old woman's parking space. ;)

I hope that you went to the doctor about your back.:(

Thanks. :) I've always heard that saying, "When it rains, it pours." I just think that I am being a shining example of it right now. I'm just kinda ready for the rain showers to stop. IN fact, I am completely ready. There's only so much a girl can handle sometimes. :(

i had some bitch hit me, not very hard but hard enough to get my attention. when i looked back at her she says "i didnt hit you...i didnt hit you..." almost kind of nasty like. for some reason i didnt do anything about it. no damage to my truck of course.

Big4life - Yes, I have seen the movie, and I absolutely love that scene. When I am old, I will probably do that same thing. ;) And no, I didn't go to the doctor about my back, nor do I intend to. It's fine.

And velvett, actually, one of the first things she said when she got out of the car was that she had insurance. She knew she was completely in the wrong on this one. They are probably going to have to totally rebuild my entire back end, so I hope her insurance is good.

That sucks ass. Y'all called the cops and filed a report, didn't you?

I left out that part! It's definitely an exciting part. It took the deputy 40 minutes to get there. We called 911 twice...the first time to report it, the second time to simply say hey, we're still sitting on the side of the road. He apologized for being late and said that they have 5 state troopers assigned to that county and that all of them had the day off. It just makes you feel so damn safe sometimes.

Well, since you are fine, can we see before and after pictures of your back end? ;)

When I was in college I had an accident in Wilmington, DE. It took the cops 3 hours to show up. Apparently, there was a bomb scare at some school high school. We saw one cop and waved him down, but he said he had to go to the scare. He actually came back when he was supposed to be off duty because no other cops had shown up yet.

Lol. Hey, I happen to like one or two of you SUV drivers, so I won't hold that against you. Something else maybe, but not that. ;)
