ladies, my gf needs advice

My girlfriend is relatively new to the gym(training for about 6 months) she mainly sticks to cardio and I've been getting her to do legs sometimes to work on further enhancing her butt. She started out weighing 145 at 5'5" and after five cycles of clen she is now down to 125. Her diet is fair but needs a lot of improvement. Anyways she has kind of plateaud and I was thinking of letting her use nolvadex but I have heard and read that using e-blockers on women can have serious sides, and I don't really know what dosages you would use on females. She could really use some suggestions on what she could use for further weight loss. I do really good with my own training but training a female is kind of new to me. Any advice would be most appreciated.

If she hasn't yet got her diet and workouts cleaned up, why the fark are you shortcutting her with drugs? Start with the basics instead of messing up her system. What she could use for further weightloss is more weight training and a little bit more willpower and planning in the eating department.

What's more, at 5'5" and 125, she shouldn't have much, if any, scale weight to lose. If she's still unsatisfied with how things are looking, the problem's in the amount of fat she's carrying. Again, more weight training -- and not just for the lower half. Get her b/f tested, and target that instead of pounds.

DO NOT use Nolvadex on her. This is an EXREMELY bad idea. She needs to clean up her diet. No wonder she has plateaued - training and drugs only get you so far without a clean diet. Diet is what brings it all together and gives TRUE results.

Post up a couple days of sample diet and we can help.

Believe me, I try to get her to follow a strict diet and she gets mad at me, then when she hasn't lost any weight and her body composition hasn't improved she gets pissed off. I get really frustrated and don't know what else to do except to use drugs and she has already lost a lot of weight through the drugs and the training I have shown her. I'm trying to encourage her to become a member on this site so she can ask her own questions but we'll see what happens. I'm going to post a pic of myself soon so everybody can see that I do somewhat know what I'm talking about when it comes to bodybuilding. After all proof is in the pudding right. Thank you very much for the info I will not use nolvadex on her. Maybe if she hears about diet being important from some other females it will help.

This had already been said - but - why don't you share with us what you consider a strict diet and what she is actually eating.

At 5' 5" and 125 she's certainly not fat so she may want to concentrate on changing body composition and ignore the scale for a while. Cardio will not build muscle nor satisfy this illusion known as toning that is fed to woman.

If she would like to be harder and smaller she should work with weights (as you already know) - there are many people her that can assure her with photos that weights will not make her look like a man.

Flip side - you have to ease into the change from straight cardio to weights.

Teach her slowly, be very patient and focus on form before you go crazy with weight. When you are learning something new sometimes you feel akward of foolish when you're not sure of yourself - so again be patient and it will come.

:)

This is the best advice you can get. Diet is still the be all & end all for leaning out. What is her goal anyway? Does she know what her bodyfat% is? At 5'5", 125 sounds like a pretty decent weight. If she's only been training 6 months, and most of it doing heavy cardio & dropping weight, she probably has a lot of room for muscle growth at this point.

A point I have been wanting to make to my mom about bodyfat - she was recently measured at somethign like 40% bodyfat. She's in her early 60s, does a step class 3x/week and walks 5 miles/day almost every day, any weather, any time of year. She watches what she eats, but in my opinion, should replace some of the fruit she eats for more protein. But the two things that go into bodyfat are muscle & fat. A high BF% can result from high fat proportion and / or low muscle proportion. Mom has low muscle proportion. She needs to hit the weights. Similarly, your gf may need to hit the weights now? If she is looking for results by what she sees, how does she measure "how she looks"? She just wants to get smaller & smaller? Wants to look like the figure competition girls? Then she is going to need to start developing her muscles to get atoned look instead of just a skinny fat look.

Initially pills like clen may get her over the hump, but you seriously can't continue tweaking your body for results with drugs when you don't have the basic diet & training down. Plus there is no cost and no sides to them.
