Kyle Turley: Actions Justified or not Justified?

Fucking A they were justified. His fine was bullshit. If that fuck from the Jets does'nt get fined for his actions it be a disgrace on the NFL.
If I were Aaron Brooks, I'd buy Turley a Rolex, a steak dinner, and buy him the entire Slayer collection. ( Turlys fav. band)
Everyone can say he cost the Saints the game, but I think he saved Brooks ass. The Saints will be a different team for the rest of the year. Everyone best look out for them.

Okay, I'll say it. When I saw Turly rip the Jets players helmet off and throw it, I right then become a Saints fan. That was an awesome display!
 
I'm a big Turley fan now....:) He is nuts!
 
Oh yeah, I posted about this right after it happened. He definitely became my favorite player after that.

Yeah I agree he shouldn't be fined in the first place. But since they did fine him, then the Jets player should have been ejected and received the same fine.

I'm willing to bet even though Haslett had to fine him to save face with the NFL, he probably thanked him for what he did anyway.

It's a damn shame they punish you for being a true "throw back" type of player like the Conrad Dobler's and Dick Butkus' of the past.

I could'nt agree more. The Saints have to be inspired. Hopefully they become a much more aggressive team now.
I love watching the old highlights of Butkus, Night Train Lane, and some of the other freaks of the past.

Haslett said he was considering cutting or fining Turley after the game...then he went home and watched the film...changed his mind
 
Who remembers last year when Jeff George got his sorry ass dragged all over the field and not one of his teammates come to his aid. What a slap in the face.
 
WHAT I SAW

Arron Brooks on a bootleg left was stoped at the 2 yard line when CB Robinson came up while Brooks was being tackled from behind, and Robinson pulled Brooks face mask back, basically twisting his head about 180 degrees, bending his body backwards. Turley snapped, threw Robinson to the ground, then got up, put his foot on Robinson's chest and ripped his helmet offf. He then threw the jet helmet and gave the "Italian" salute to the jet bench. I have been a Saints fan for YEARS, baghead, ALL THAT SHIT. protecting brooks was awesome, but the symantics after the fact cost us the game. He should have kept the helmet as a trophy, and saved the salute for after the game. Don't get me worng, I love Turley, but you gotta beable to know when to keep your head. Fucking up Robinson. GOOD. After effects, BAD. The team is in the D line Norman "BIG WIGGLE" Hand, L'Roi Glover two AWESOME DL's!
 
Being a huge fan of the saints... i hate that he threw the helmet and gave the arm to the jet's sidleine, however i wish he had only ripped the helmet off... but you havce to do what you have to do... and they could have easily broken brook's neck... so i think it was completely justified.

I agree with the majority of what you are saying here, and I too am a Saints fan from birth also being a born and raised New Orleanian (all right raised in Marrero same thing.)

But I think what Turley did was actually a good thing. I would rather them have won this game, but if what he did fires them up to make them play smash mouth football and win games from here on out then it was more than worth it.

After all they could have won this game barely and felt like they did not deserve to win and go on to loose the rest of the games do to lack of confidence and fire in the offense.

That guy from the Jets is the same sick fuck who tried bringing a loaded AK into the game vs the Dolphins a few weeks back.

He's a sicko, he deserved it.
 
I just wish Turley would do that type of shit on the Line more. He does a great job at pass protection, but his block for the run is VERY weak. The NFL has not fined him yet, but the SAINTS fined him 25000! Brooks better help pay this shit off! And WHY have they made Brooks a pocket passer anyways? He is Awesome on the loose. Then I heard them (announcers) talking about groin pull and hip flexor probs on Brooks, Whats up with that? Quit makin him a pocket passer, and let him loose. Or is it just me? I mean look at when they(Saints) have 4 min left in the 4th qtr and are behind! Brooks outta the pocket, movin,shakin,getting done.

That's the same thing I complained about when the Bengals tried to turn Blake into a short passer. Fuck that, they just took his game away from him.

This was a case where the outcome of the game was secondary. The Saints will still make the playoffs! What was important here, and Turley instinctively knew it, was that the honor of the QB and the Saints team had to be defended right then, right there, for all to see. The play was over long before that Jet started twisitng Brooks' head. Turley went to work, a big pile up ensued, and when the smoke cleared, the big Viking emerged with the head of his prey in hand with blood dripping from his lips!

That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell and is why there offense has sputtered. You're right let him run his ass off this is what made the offense great last year now they want to be all prim and proper and do what the NFL deems appropriate. Fuck that !!! Run him, throw the defense off-balance.
 
If you were to do this, you'd open up a whole lot of passing and running for Ricky! Shit Jet just stuffed 6 and 7 in the box, how can you run Ricky? Pressure Brooks in the pocket, stuff holes, = no yards.

Can someone please explain why it was not off-setting penalties for unsportsman-like conduct instead of just Turley getting the penalty, fine, and ejection????:confused:

I'm glad he didn't get suspended, but the fine was a little harsh. If i were Brooks, id hook him up with some Halo.
 
I almost have to agree that in a case like that, the game be damned.......gotta to go do some regulatin!!!!! I just wish I could have seen the video of what the guy was doing to Brooks. From what EVERYONE seems to be saying, it really did look like the guy was trying to crank brooks' neck around. Apparently a bunch of people heard brooks scream in pain, and that's what set Turley off. He should have stomped on the guys face after he ripped his helmet off!!! Did anyone catch Turley's comments after the game??? They were classic, he was describing what the Jets were doing to him after they ganged on him......said they were all "pulling my hair like a bunch of sissies and pussies" hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Yeah, that was awesome. I was REALLY PISSED when players like Joe Horn, Jackson, just stood there and watched this happen to their team mate. Those two are big pussies. Fotenot Tried to restrain Kyle, but after the fact. Was running him to the side line saying (or looked like) "Calm the fuck down"

I agree Turley doesn't have a rep for being dirty . . . he's just one mean mofo between the whistle. This Sunday will be fun to watch him against the 49'ers.
