Kobe Bryant/Sprite/WSB commercial

from what i saw, he was just holding the weight. maybe i missed something, but a walkout with 315 for a camera shot is more likely.

I JUST saw it as my post was posting. He's one parallel box away from being a "Lou" worshiper! :lmao: J/K

It does wonders for speed, no doubt!

what does wonders for speed? or was that an extended joke?

I saw the commercial and noticed the chains as well.

I have a question though:
The only thing I know about WSB training is from reading some of the threads around here. I've seen the people that use bands and I figured they used them because it gave progressive Resistance.

What's the deal with the chains? How do they work? What's the benefit of them?

Same thing....accomodated resistance. As you descend in a squat the chains are touching the floor, as you get lower, there's more and more chain on the floor that you don't have to support. The weight gets HEAVIER as you stand up...just like the tension increases as you stand up with the bands. So you have to work to push throught the lock out portion of the lift. Same for benching with chains; you have to work to lock it out.

He was only quarter squatting the thing

hell I've seen chicken leg fools quarter squat 405lbs for sets at my gym - who says ecto BBall teen gym weenies are weak? :spit:
