Knot POTUS material!

The fucking shithead sitting in the White House right now isn't POTUS material either, yet that didn't stop people from voting his sorry ass in.

The sad thing is, even if she invaded Canada, made handgun possession by the mentally challenged mandatory and banned tongue kissing, we'd still be better off than what we currently have in the White House.

We've already hit rock bottom. Even Sarah (and I'm not a fan) would be an improvement.

This is true.

It's interesting to watch Canada heading in the right direction while we just get more and more libtarded.

We've been down the path you're heading on...we know it doesn't work. Thank God there was a fiscal conservative finance minister in place when Jean and his Liberal party were in power during boom times, who insisted that a chunk of the windfall be used to pay off our debt before money could be squandered on social programs. Once times got leaner, we knew we needed a conservative government, and voted one in (albeit as a minority government). When we saw that this global recession was far from over, and how much better we had fared than other G7 countries through the shitstorm, we voted them back in with a mandate this time.

Bachmann on 2012: I'll 'stand up to Obamacare' - Politics - Decision 2012 - msnbc.com

I think Rudy G is the best choice for the Republicans.

I think Huntsman is. Yeah, he's mormon, but he's a mormon that pushed to have gayes righst in the most conservative state in the union while his church was pouring $$ into cali so they'd overturn homo rights. There are other things I like about the guy, but his ability to put his faith aside and do the right thing got my respect. Romney saying he's only a mormon in utah is pathetic. I'm not religious at all, but if people don't step up to what they believe in I lose all respect.

You're fucking delusional.

Exactly how could it be worse?

1) Would she escalate a war? Barry's already done that.

2) Would she start a new war? Barry's already done that.

3) Would she add trillions of dollars per year to the deficit? Barry's already done that.

4) Would she increase unemployment? Barry's already done that.

5) Would she drive jobs out of the country for an entire generation? Barry's already done that.

6) Would she wreck our already questionable energy policy by denying permits for additional drilling? Barry's already done that.

7) Would she nationalize 1/6th of our economy, steal $500B in health care from seniors and transfer it to poor people, then demogogue against people who actually try to fix the financing of health care? Barry's already done that.

Even if we elected a mentally retarded president who just sat in the oval office an colored all day, we'd still be better off. All the dumbass stuff has already been done.

Try this exercise: Pick one of her policies and explain to me how it would make things worse than Barry has already done.

sorry bro. every poll has Obama trouncing any republican by double digits. Romney is the only guy that comes close and that is because he has moderate views. he came out today and said global warming was caused by us Romney Agrees Global Warming is Real

we both know Romney is the 'favorite' among a crop of the worst candidates ever put together since maybe the 1984 election, but that doesn't mean he is gonna win the nomination. he is in the absolute worst position cause he is gonna get attacked and ganged up on for the next 6 months by everyone (his 'liberal' views and flip flops make him an easy target)

1B and incumbency means Obama will be president till 2016. and anyone who thinks otherwise is a biased moron. he is a 2 to 1 favorite to win re-election by the oddsmakers for a reason. if republicans were smart they would forget about this election and focus on 2016 when they will have to find a fresh face

I have some sympathy for the middle class right now because Barry tricked them the first time. He sold them on the abstract concepts of hope and change.

If they fall for it the second time, they deserve everything they're getting now and whatever they get after that. Hell, I hope he continues his energy policies and gas hits $12/gallon -- I'd love being only one of a handful of cars on the road.

I have to say if bush got reelected obama has a better than average chance as well

LMAO at you thinking the president has any control over gas prices.

its supply and demand. stop driving so much and using gas and the prices will come down. its really simple.

thats like saying the president has control over how much watermelons will cost this summer. or how much milk will cost.

gas prices are actually very low in the US, lower than any other developed nation that I am aware of. you have to go to the middle east to find gas prices lower. attacking him over gas prices is pretty lame when the global economy and people driving more is causing prices to rise over the past year.

and OPEC just announced a few days ago they were gonna add to supply and prices have cratered in the past few sessions. so i guess you will give obama credit for that too

yeah bro you are so out of the loop when it comes to US politics

Rudy G isn't even running first off.. second off when he ran last time around he did not even bother to compete in Iowa, NH, or SC cause his politics are way out of whack with the republican party. he chose to just wait for FL, and then he got like 5th place..

he is a social liberal while the republican party is social conservative (and not the kind of conservative you are in Canada.. the conservatives in Canada are more in line with the democrats in the US on social issues)

ya know its hard for the republicans to attack Obama on the economy when they have a lock on the house and Obama cut taxes on everybody (even the rich)

2 years of republican budgets, freezing federal pay.. Obama has bent over backwards to do what republicans wanted.

I suppose they will attack him on gas prices and economy but it won't work cause the republicans run the house and the budget .. it would of been easier if dems ran the house. I see no hope for republicans in 2012 unless things really really go downhill next year.... we are talking 10% unemployment and $5 gas, and even then the public will probably put more blame on the republicans for that, they are already in hot water over the Ryan budget

Democrats have been hindering domestic production efforts since Carter. I still remember Clinton arguing that drilling now wouldn't have any effect for the next 10 years. Guess what? It's been ten years a couple of times over now.

What planet do you live on?

Let's throw this challenge wide open: I there a single person on this entire board who believes: "Obama has bent over backwards to do what republicans wanted."?

Feel free to recruit others to chime in. I'd like to see if there's another person on this planet that thinks he "bent over backwards".

P.S. You do realize that Barry had two full years of control over the house, senate and presidency, correct?

Policies? She has policies?

Hence my point: No policy is still vastly better than the disastrous ones we have in place right now. It settle for her just sitting in the oval office and coloring.

How is any of this any different from what would have happened if ANY of the other 2008 candidates from either party, apart from Ron Paul, had won? Or if Bush43 had been crowned King and allowed to continue? It's not. Except for #7 which is just an outright lie.

Again, thank you for helping me make my point.

McCain could have won, dropped dead during his acceptance speech and we'd been no worse off with President Palin -- except we wouldn't have that train wreck health care bill. And we wouldn't be scaring employers out of the country as fast as we can. And we wouldn't have drug-out this recession an extra couple of years. And we wouldn't have unions resurging and killing education. And...

You get the point. We would have been far better off.

I think this is an issue close to Obama's heart.

On a serious note about Palin.

What surprises me is how much she lacks caliber compared to other female conservative leaders.

I was no fan of Margret Thatcher, but she could lead and govern even though I despised her policies. That woman had leadership qualities unmatched in her generation of leaders.

In Germany Angela Merkel is no Thatcher, but she is a very good negotiator and excellent at steering a middle course, she adopts centrist positions and then defines them as her own.

Palin has none of these qualities, in fact she has no leadership qualities that I have seen.

Just because the economy is in the shitter is not really a valid reason to elect a dunce.

I don't like Palin either.

But we already have a dunce and he's keeping our economy in the shitter for years longer than it needs to be.

I wouldn't call Bhutto a conservative leader, but yes she was a great female leader. One that her country sorely needed then and now. Pakistan is descending into hell without her, her husband has been largely useless as president.

Not easy getting the economy out of the shitter. Especially with those obstructionist republicans.

Obama will loose next year if unemployment doesn't fall during that year.

No incumbent is re-elected if unemployment rises during the election year. Every incumbent is re-elected if unemployment falls.

b0und (it's true, look it up)

The democrats controlled the presidency, house of representatives, senate and media (except Fox) for two years. We're closing in on year three of the Barry hostage crisis and the only change is that the Republicans control the house. This current mess is (and has been) 100% Obama's now.

Blaming Republicans for obstructing is like saying those Aussie obstructionists kept Obama from making the necessary changes.

unemployment will drop next year.

we had the largest recession since WWII... it was extremely deep. dunno why people expect things to get better overnight.

btw the unemployment rate in Japan is 4.5% and they have a flat economy and have for years and years. unemployment rate is a bad indicator of what the economy is doing.

Indicators for May where down across the board. There's no positive spin on what's happening.
