Most fruits contain too much sugar, and WILL impede fat-loss.

While cutting, it is important to keep blood sugar levels LOW, to avoid adipose storage.

Therefore, we must ONLY consume LOW-GLYCEMIC carbs, that do NOT have a profound effect on blood sugar, and rather, provide a steady supply of energy.

On a side-note, when cutting, the BIGGEST mistake people make is REDUCING CARBOHYDRATES!

Reducing TOTAL calorie intake is more important than reducing CARBS! This is why guys lose MUSCLE!

You should be eating at least 25-50 grams of carbohydrates in EVERY meal, with the exception of your one or two non-carb meals, later into your cutting phase.

Having said that, ALL of your carbs MUST be low-glycemic! NO EXCEPTIONS!

You're right to a point.
If I was going to eat fruit I would save it for pre and post workout.
Low GI carbs are better especially when cutting to due the fact that insulin levels are not spiked so rapidly.
