kids that are cvnts about eating...

Like I said I grew up fine. I dont see why he won't either. My son ain't gonna be a picky little bitch. Shit don't fly. You cater to them and they grow up walking all over your ass because you taught them it's ok.

I'll be sure to bump this thread when your kid is obese ;)

The only thing that should be taught when it comes to food is to taste what someone has prepared to be polite, because it's considerate and proper manners. Outside that, don't fuck with the natural hunger cues of a kid or he'll grow up with food issues, either fat or weird on elitefitness type internet forums trying to control his fatty nature that lurks in the dark. If he's not hungry, don't make him eat for gods sake. Why would you want to override those cues? Kids should still be treated as people, not pets to control.

I'm his parent. I know what he's had to eat all day. If he hasn't ate in hours but has been running around all day playing I know he needs to eat. That whole "I'm not hungry" bs is because they don't wanna eat it. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. After sitting there half an hr they'll eat. Trust me

I know. I have a kid and I don't make an issue with food. I'm an authoritarian parent but I still have discernment.

I hope you go easy on your kid at the next meal too, just sayin. There are more important battles to fight. You want to raise a good person. There is no morality in the moderate eating of any type of food, and kids are born knowing that moderation, don't mess with it with your own food issues. YOUR KIDS DO NOT HAVE YOUR FOOD ISSUES stop projecting your issues on your kid. Just don't buy shitty food and have scheduled meals. It's not rocket science or deep psychology.

are you talking to me here?
since posting this thread, i've taken a new tac with jr...as i become more invovled in the day to day discipline, it is able to relieve some of the stress off of my gf which i'm glad to do.
but now when i serve a meal, we let jr know this is what we are having, and that he needs to sit with us and eat...if he doesn't want it or doesn't like it, no big deal just wait till we are done then you can leave the table...no forcing, no coercing, just offering it up and if he declines then bro doesn't eat.
if he honestly tries it and just doesn't like it, then maybe we will provide something else...but 95% of the time he won't even try it, so we just say no biggie, but no other food will be given to him that night.
seems to be working great btw, and i'm confident a truely hungry child will eat
