Kidney pain from AAS?!?!

Alright everybody, I'm in some bad fuckin pain right now. I'm currently on 50mgs of anabolic st(winny) ED, proviron @75mgs ED, and my normal HRT of test cyp @ 100mgs EW. I'm taking the winny orally(not that it matters much). I went to the ER yesterday because of bad pain in my kidneys, all tests came back normal, but I didn't tell them I was using AAS. I can't figure out what is causing it. I first developed this problem last March when I was running the same thing except I was using 400mgs EW of test cyp. Has anybody ever experienced something like this? When I first had this problem last year they found blood in my urine for almost 2 weeks, it wasn't visible, but it showed up in tests. I have had problems on and off since then but nothing very severe until now, and I find it strange that I just happen to be using the same combination of things as I was then. I have had all kinds of tests done over the past year but everything comes up normal except for the blood they found in my urine. WTF is going on?

You might eithr want to push more fluids or disclose it to an endo that you can pay out of pocket for ur self. just my recs because they do not have to take the history if you use cash. The problem with using cash is to avoid having a problem then the Dr.'s and HMO determine that ur condition is due to AAS

Personally if i were you i would probably consider cutting the orals out of the cycle to see if they are responsible for the renal problems you are experiencing. A good rule to follow is always listen to your body. If your kidneys are hurting that much it probably means you should take it easy on the orals. If the pain stops by cutting the orals out then you should probably just set them to the side. Any gains your making from the orals arent worth damaging your kidneys. Hope everything works out alright for you.

im sure you have tried the obvious; Gallon of water a/day, and cranberry extract capsules. You could be suffering from Kidney stones to. That pain can be excruciating and cause blood in the urine a well!

Kidney stones could be it. But my buddy used to get the same thing, I haven't ever had it. I would tell you doc, they are cool, and they can't tell anyone. HIPPA, I think it is, prevents anything from being disclosed to anyone.

If the tests came out ok then why worry more ?

Blood comes out of the urine in many cases when the kidneys were hurt directly (from a fall,a punch or something like that) but that would show up as kidney problems in tests.

It could also be urinary tract infection or inflammation.

Also, the pain might be irrelevant of the blood. So an urinary tract inflammation could cause the blood and the pain could be caused by a lumbar disc problem that many many times shows like pain in the kidneys.

You might not like this much but i would also look for a possible prostate inflammation or growth,so getting a PSA test and a physical exam (ouch) could answer any questions about problems.

But the kidneys seem to be fine.

this seems to be the standard EF response when someone brings up liver OR kidney issues. dirty v i think this is what you might do when you have LIVER damage worries from AAS.

how do you know you have pain in the kidneys and not something else? not sure i would know pain was coming from my kidneys if it was. maybe if you are familiar with kidney pain you can recognize it.

I had slight pain in my right lower back for sometime. I also thought it was my kidney, but it turned out I had some type of flu like virus that was causing the pain. I drank lots of water and a shit load of cranberry juice. It tokk about 14 days till it was gone.

the psoas muscle is a farily large deep muscle that runs from the lumbars to the femur, it is very proximal to the kidneys. I am beginning to suspect that some instances of very painful episodes (i.e. dbol) that feel like they are the kidneys may be related to the unnnatural level of AAS induced pumps to this muscle. just a guess. anything that could release this muscle would be helpful if that were indeed the problem
