I was just introduced to this concept of training ny a PT at the gym. I've just done some Googling regarding the topic, there seems to be great stuff on it.

Has anybody ever tried it or incorporate it as part of their routine?

Thanks

no. but there is a big movement in the PL world about them.

i think it would be cool. i'd like to try and lift anything heavy. throw it even.

From a hypertrophy perspective, do they serve any purpose?

GODDAMMIT!! Pick up heavy stuff. Put it down. Eat. Repeat with heavier stuff. The "stuff" can be iron, barbells, small mammals, and even balls shaped like kettels with handles. It just don't matter.

And fuck hypertrophy. Kettleballs will make you use your BODY like it is a BODY and not a hodgepodge of little pieces that function independently. This will make you a man. And as you get stronger, your body will grow if you're eating. So, yes, they do serve a purpose.

all kinds of strong out there. how can you say who's the strongest when there are so many different ways to test it? like that fucking guy who rolled up a frying pan like it was a news paper? and was driving nails into boards with his hand? and even did a one armed preacher curls with a 130lb. dumbell. it all interests me........

Agreed, so much emphasis on all these big ass guys, especially in powerlifting. I'm a bit more impressed with a woman or man capable of tripling their body weight in a lift or totalling 10 times their bodyweight rather than a big ole guy who just doubles theirs.

But in all honesty, I like them all...

The only reason for being strong that I see is to combat someone else. Anything I do is to help me destroy someone in a fight, regardless of where said fight takes place.

I let genetics dictate my aeshtetics. Vanity is an aside to my primary focus - tearing people apart. Now if only you could get by without working and getting sued. Man. I'd be set.
