Keeping gains Long term?? Have an idea that could possibly help us all.....

Shoot Me Up

I just wanted to let you all know that I like to just do one hard cycle a year in which i have about a year 1/2 ago. I have made incredible gains and have found that if you dont get back on steroids after you been off for as long as you been on, you will eventually lose everything and go back to your original self. It is effective to cycle for 8 weeks, go off 8 weeks then get back on, or however you do it as you will lose some gains and make more again (have done this 3 years ago). Anyways here is what I am thinking of doing........

This coming April i plan on hitting a hard cycle of Prop/Fina/EQ/Winny for 12 weeks then coming off with clomids

about 12 weeks later after my last shots from last cycle of week 12 i want to start a cycle not to make gains necessarily but to help keep me from going back to my original self......

I am thinking of taking just 400mgs of Primobolan Depot for 12 weeks then getting off for 12 weeks, and keep repeating this process till next year comes along again and then hitting it hard???

What do you guys think of this idea?

It's an interesting idea, I would like to think a longer lasting ester would work better. I want to take HGH, anavar and sustanon for the rest of my life. Now, THAT would prevent wasting!

very true, but please keep in mind that i want to live a very long life also....i dont want to end being the juice head that has heart, liver, kidney problems in my 30's, 40's or 50's.........

You don't make much sense, I dont see why you cant keep alot of the gains you made on steroids if you eat right train right and dont get lazy in the gym.

Everyone is different. Personally I don't agree coming from experience. Last year I did 2 cycles. One for about 14 weeks and the other for 9. Took only a 5 week break in between the 2 cycles. After that I took a whole 6 month break off from juice at which point I actually got bigger and stronger just from eating alot more and resting more. It all depends on the individual and how fast they recover. How they eat and train and how much rest they get. Also how much anabolics they were taking. Obviously the more you take the harder it will be for your body to maintain once off.

What do I think? I think 8 months after my first cycle (which was a mere 6 weeks of sust) I kept almost all of my gains (even though I was forced to stay out of the gym for a little more than a two month period within the 8 months).

I think:

1. everyone is different, some have a smother transition off gear than others

2. not everyone trains and eats right, on or off cycle

3. many do not take into account water weight gain on and water weight loss after cycle

4. many do not take into account weight associated with the increased calories most consume on, but not off cycle

5. unless your a competetor using steroids as an integral part of your physique and training, muscle that will not stay on your frame without the use of drugs is worthless.

so essentially you will be running high cost gear, not making progress, just maintaining. HERE IS A BETTER ONE..........

why not set a goal, do your cycles to overshoot that goal by solid 10-15lb and then go off forever? this way you will never have to go back on, and will maintain your body naturally

why not perfect diet and training first and foremost? i've made great gains on and off, keeping them is all about diet.

is my diet good then ABC, which i just started 2 weeks ago...what should i expect from this diet.......

Meal 1:
8 eggwhites
1 serving of oatmeal

Meal 2:
1 serving of Meso-tech

Meal 3:
3 turkey burgers
1 small can of string beans

Meal 4:
Chicken/broccoli

meal 5:
2 cans of tuna
Salad with olive oil and reduced-fat parm cheeze

Meal 6:
1 serving of meso-tech

8 egg whites = about 28g protein, thats BS. I take in 79 per meal 5 times a day, and am not that big and NOT on a cycle, 1.5+g per pound or better.

A large AA egg is 3.5g protein white, 2.5 yolk, 5g fat in the yolk.

Also there is no fat in your first meal, balance your diets dude.

Good luck

that's a solid diet. the fat thing is true but overall it looks very good. a diet like that year round where you cycle the carbs alittle and cycle fats can set you up real well. good luck.

24 grams of protein in meal #1? Thats a solid diet for someone about 120 pounds. I didn't even bother looking at the rest of it.

My diet sucked ass on my first cycle and I still gained 30lbs. The cycle im on now, I'm getting about 150mg of protien per day and so far ive already gained 13lbs of muscle (in a little over 2wks).

I weigh 225lbs so it's not that I'm a small guy ... most people on here brag about eating 300+mg of protein per day and drinking 2 galloons of water. Maybe some people are going overboard.

Everyone responds different, and you gotta find out what works for you... learn your body... if you've been serious about diet, and training naturally, you should know how you react to foods by the time you decided to cycle...

I dunno... I am natually ectomorphic (small joints, rib gage, long assed arms/legs etc...), which makes for longer muscles... this means that they have to gave a lot more girth to look big... I gotta eat like a bastard... I fart, and burn 500 cals... the problem is... paking a lot of food into a small body is a task... so I drink a decent portion of my meals... the bonus is that 20 minutes 3x a week of cardio WITHOUT a diet change will cut me to bits...

dr. m

i'm curious as to why you eat 79 grams of protein 5 times a day?
that is @400 grams a day. that is a very large amount, please explain why you need that many grams if you aren't that big?

by the way, check out the rest of his diet and realize he's having @ 50 grams of protein in mostly every other meal (the shakes are @50, 3 turkey burgers at 23 grams per burger on average would be near 70 grams, 2 cans of tuna is between 70 and 75 grams of protein and the chicken he didn't give a measurement but i'm guessing 2 medium chicken breasts at 4 ounces each, 8 ounces all together, 48 grams of protein. when the math is all said and done he could be having:

2 shakes - @100 grams
egg whites - 28 grams
tuna - 75 grams
turkey burgers - @70 grams
chicken - ?

so without the chicken he's having around 270 grams a day. next time read the whole diet, it may help with your criticism.

the diet needs some work fine tuning but it looks good as i've said before. your carb and fat intake would help.
