Keeping antibiotics on hand?

I'm a couple weeks from starting my cycle but uneasy about the risk of an infection from injecting (improper injection or the small risk that the stuff isn't even sterile.) I've heard of some keeping some tetracycline or some broad spectrum on hand just in case and would love just to have some doxy to hit an infection at the first signs but do not yet have anywhere to reliably purchase from.

Maybe it's best to go to a doctor if it does happen because self-medication is bad anyway?

This concerns me because of the current increase in anti-biotic resistant bacteria, which has occurred due to over-prescribing by doctors, and self-proscribing by people.

The issue is that most people stop when they feel better, which doesn't necessarily mean that the bacteria is gone.

It would be better to see a doctor IMO.

ditto, if you get sick, or get an infection- see a doc.

Do NOT use antibiotics unless a DR prescribes them. Using antibiotics at your liesure can leave you in a dangerous place when your body becomes immune to the antibiot and your immune system is vulnerable.

No, Antibiotics should only be prescribed by a doctor to treat a known bacterial infection for reasons stated above.

Further, like 99% of bacteria in our bodies is helpful, and to kill off that bacteria for a needless cause is not healthy.

Edit::

Would like to add with proper injection technique and taking the appropriate precautions, you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever.

Over 50% of the guys joosin are shit scared to tell a doctor about a steriod infection for many reasons its not easy to tell some one that can wright it on your med record you use gear .

So its a tricky topic , one of my friends left it to the last minute and it got very serious .

I do keep them on hand and thats a decision i have made they were prescribed for a infection i hope i dont get .

Brad.

I agree---but bros have to realize no matter what the doc says--they cannot repeat it. mine bitched me out for 10 minutes...then went on to ask more questions than i would have expected---conclusion: NEVER be afraid to go to a doc if you have a problem--nothing, nothing is worth the risk of not going if needed.

They can't repeat it, but they can put it in your file.

Just ask them to not notate it in your file...while medical records are suppose to be completely confidential...shit happens.

but a notation is file is not worth the cost of some very real threats w/IM use. I would risk public exposure before i lost a limb to some crazy infection.

I see the bacterial resistance as being a very sound argument I've always felt that hapharzardly using antibiotics is irresponsible e.g. I feel that antibiotics for acne is often a poor treatment choice because it only temporarily alleviates the problem (unless the patient grows out of it during the usage). They are often used until either the bacteria become resistant to it or until the bacteria are found to be already be resistant to it.

Anyway...

putting in on file... what sort of implications do you think there could there be by having that happen? You mentioned confidentiality - is it supposed to be only for the doc himself to see? visible during background checks? (such as one by a future employer)
