Karma Issues Please Read

We are working the issue as we speak. It seems that with the "karma whore" as people call them we have had an extreme amount of pressure on our database. All the karma threads, hidden karma threads and the mega blasting that was and is going on has corrupted our script for karma. We never anticipated when putting the system in that it would be used in such a manner. We thought that people would reward each other for good posts and knowledge, and not this crazy madness it has become.

As you can see, I have got the karma system working and I am battling the issue with 2 other tech people. Right now it seems that it mainly effected the "karma whores".

Thank you for your understanding during this tough time. Its sad because the people who did all the karma posts are actually responsible. We love you all as members and hold no issues. Rest assured we are working the issue. What a Friday!

AS a solution maybe you should retaliate for the K threads by balsting those that participate with red, thus making their purpose moot.
 
Well, it affected me and I am not a Karma Whore.

Most of points were earned with good advice on the anabolic boards, and by posting pics in the pics board. So it isn't just affecting Karma WHORES.

I finally reached 500 points this morning after I helped a Bro avoid a scammer he hit me with like 15 points. Oh well, I sent you a PM EF SAM, thanks for working so dilligently to repair the script.

Yeah right.. Im affected and I haven't been actively whoring for a year now.

Wow, If THAT is`nt real karma at work... See, It`s coming back to you. I`m glad I never participated in shit like that. I still have all my greens.

I think thats a good move.
Nobody wants the social stigma attached with being called a karma whore, so its best not to go to such extreme measures.

First of all, I don`t see a problem getting BACK the karma you once had. The problem is finding out HOW MUCH you had BEFORE you lost it. (I had 1 billion btw)

The real problem is fixing the shit to accept the whoring or stopping the whoring altogether.

You guys should learn from your mistakes. lol I should stop these remarks or I`ll be looking at red. I`m considering myself lucky.
 
Interesting to see the members that are saying I am not truthful. I cant believe that you would act this way over an issue like this.

For the positive members of the board, I am working hard on getting things done. I have restored many peoples karma, and several of them were NOT karma whores. What I am saying is that it is because of them that this happened.

We are going to install the ability now to disable peoples karma if we need to as well. Every time some of you blast others needlessly, it has to send a query to the database, so when you sit there over and over sending karma you are hurting the site.

To answer a few questions, no George Spellwin did not start karma threads. He introduced the idea of karma to the boards, go find the post and read what it is about. Its not about what has been going on for a lot of people thats for sure.

It's little green dots on a computer screen, people. They are useless in real life. :(

I tried to trade mine in on a TV at Circuit City once and the guy didn't know what I was talking about.:D

No, its when people go out doing it all day. The mega zap is a glitch in our karma system and it allows people to sit there and click the karma button real fast. When they do that, it has to query the database every time, at a fast rate. That is the problem, plus the karma whoring.

We have got a lot of peoples karma points back up, and we are still working.

I am not saying EF SAM is lying. I said I see several whores with all their Karma, so it did not affect only the WHORES.

Again, almost all of my 508 points came from advice and pics, and very little came from Karma Threads. 100% TRUE

I visited the anabolic boards and very few people there have been affected. So to say it is mainly affecting the whores is not 100% TRUE.

I am an innocent by stander, and I feel irritated my Karma has not been restored like other peoples. I think individuals were targeted and they got their beloved Karma Demoted. At least we should have the Karma we paid for when we went Platinum. I noticed several lost their then had it restored.

I was probably in there saying"In" or something, but I have to reiterate...I BARELY GET ANY POINTS IN ANY KARMA THREADS. Most of my posts are in the anabolic boards.

I have learned my lesson. I will never post in a K Thread again.............................Mark It Down................................
