was 76 in a 55. In VA thats reckless driving by speed. Pretty dumb as the toll road the general speed is 65-70. I was passing a car and got pulled over in June. Filed for a continuance from my August court date in hopes the officer wouldn't show.
I went into today. The court had probably 30 or so defendants and only 2 officers showed up. Mine was not one to have shown up. Everyone is getting up there and the judge is like, the officer isn't present so I'm going to dismiss your charges. For me he goes, you were going a little fast. I'm going to have to bring you back on a commonwealth continuance. WTF!!!! FUCKING OFFICER DOESN'T SHOW UP IS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE WIN!
In any event my continuance is nov 17th and I'm going to extend it past then to the holiday time in hopes he doesn't show up again. Or maybe I'll just find a way to drag this on until summer. Wish I had gotten a nicer judge, its such a sham that this state literally gives out 100's of speeding tickets each day just to make money for the county.
