Just watched Pumping Iron for the first time...

Here is a few of my observations:

1. Those guys train with intensity!
2. No gyno on anyone
3. No acne/acne scars
4. The guys were huge and still athletic (Franco Columbo jump rope/heavy bag)
5. Better clothes! No huge baggy florescent pants with hip pouches.
6. Nobody’s legs compared to today’s bodybuilders.
7. Arnold was one arrogant guy.
8. Weird exercises, things you don’t see in the gym any more.

Anyhow, if someone hasn’t seen the video yet I suggest to go check it out; It’s pretty inspiring. By the way, I dloaded my copy on Grokster…

Hey bro, just downloaded Grokster. NDid a search and there no "pumping iron" on there, at least right now. What was the exact tilte and were there a lot to choose from???

Peace

Yeah, it is one awesome movie/docu. I don't know about the legs though. The atheletic thighs with big calves looked good on them. The tree trunk legs of todays guys makes them look like they couldn't do anything more than stand and pose! I still think Louie should have gotten second. Serge was pathetic! LOL

Just keep trying, it'll come up with a hit soon.

C3bodybuilding: Yeah I thought the same; Lou looked way better.

I've said it a million times. People bitch about Kamali's 'tude. $hit, he judt tore a page from Arnies "Notice Me" book. Smack talk in bodybuilding is nothing new.

I just watched it for the first time last night as well. Really good movie. Must say, Arnies day of bodybuilding was way better than todays. They looked much better than those today. I thought I trained hard in the gym, shit, these guys loose their freaking minds in there. And about Arnold being an arrogant prick, I must agree, very cocky as well which made the sport of bodybuilding so competitive because of him but now guys are out of freaking control with shit. But again, great movie and actually an inspiration to watch.

favorite quotes that my friends and i throw around...

"Milk is for babies...when you grow up you get to drink beer"

"The best feeling you can get in the gym or the most satisfying feeiling you can get in the gym is the pump...its almost as satisfying to me as coming is"

"what did you say lou..."im training arnold"..."youv'e got to keep it down, its like a church in here"

the arrogance he has is just confidence, he had total confidence. He knew how to train his mind as well as his body, you lack confidence you will lack in all other areas.

Great movie BTW.

Like the physique's of that day much better than those of today's. It's gettin too outta hand, too big, too many drug's.

Did they use Test back in those days? Anyone know for sure what kinds of gear and doses they were using? I know the hear say of d-bol, primo, but anyone know for sure?
