Changed at 1,160 miles on my 06 2.3l Ranger

5 qts Castrol 5w-20 syntec full synthetic motor oil = $27.13
Motorcraft oil filter= $3.56
Labor = $17.31

Knowing that you have the best protection available when you're sitting in New Orleans' post Katrina bumper to bumper traffic = PRICELESS

That's debatable. New Corvettes, Vipers, and other high performance cars come from the factory with Mobil 1 full synthetic. "Break in" is accomplished pretty quickly with today's manufacturing tolerances.

In the bumper to bumper traffic I've been experiencing I really wanted to get synthetic in the truck.
