Hahaha...I believe in a higher being but I certainly don't believe in the CATHOLIC church's version of it...gimme a break...anyway, how can one accept a God that is omnipotent and still believe in a devil that works outside God's wishes?

I agree Frackal. Also if God is such a loving God then why do so many innocent people and children suffer constantly? I am so sick of the bullshit answers that people give-saying,"oh, well the lord has a plan and it is meant to be." If, believing in God helps someone to live a more rewarding life and gives them something to look forward to- then more power to them, unfortunately a portion of the "Christians" I know are some of the most hypocritical people around.
I also agree with Wfabrizio, in saying that the church is just a social tool. It has always been a tool since it came into power in Europe. Putting the fear of "God" into people to have them do as the church pleases.
I want to know what makes the Gods of ancient Eygypt or the Greek or Roman Gods any less powerful than Christ? These ancient cultures believed just as strongly in their faiths as the western world does in Christ. Also why are these ancient cultures wrong, but Christianity is right? What makes christianity supposedly so superior?....nothing, it's just like all other religions.

I can't believe I'm actually going to admit this, but coming from the biggest sceptic that ever walked the planet: About 20 years ago, I'm 49 now, I had a near death experience, and I got to tell you, this guy is for real. I'm not going to go into detail, but trust me, he's happin'. You want to flame me, I really don't give a rats ass. It happened. If you think I'm a dude that spends his life trying to convert others, you're wrong. If you saw me, you would think I'd be the last person in the world to be writing somthing like this. But, as I said, it happened. Trust me, when you 'die', you got a BIG suprise comming. The good news is, he doesn't judge, so party on!!
