Just saw,"We were Soldiers"...

Tears of the Sun was NOT better. It was a crap movie.

We Were Soldiers was ok... I felt so fucking pissed off that when the fighting was over, the helicopter brought the reporters in... shit, why not bring them in while the danger was happening. Fucking media cowards.

Well at least the reporter who TOLD the story had the sack to hang in there during the heat of the battle,he even took up arms at one point. You can see how fucked up it left him though.

The book was better than the movie IMO. That goes for We Were Soldiers and Blackhawk Down. Tears of the Sun doesn't have much in common with the other two movies in the sence that the other films were based on historically accurate books. Tears of the sun is just another typical hollywood action flick.

i liked that we were soldiers also brought what was happening at home into the story, too. obviously, war touches more lives than just those who fight them and to leave out the effects of on the wives and families would have made the movie incomplete. i was prepared to hate we were soldiers, but i loved it.

looks like I am the only one who liked that movie then, we were soldiers was more emotional I just like special ops shit more

Mel Gibson is a great actor.

You have to respect Mel. Braveheart was absolutely incredible.

I wonder about the guys who make millions off of obviously piss poor military decisions. Are they the worst murderers of them all? Perhaps.
