Just Need a Couple Pointers Before I Start My First Cut

hey guys i am about to start my first cut and i have a few questions and i also would like a few opinions on how i should go about it,

do you guys figure out your BMR and then subtract a certain amount of calories (500) or do you just plateau yourself out at like 3000 clean cals a day and do cardio on off days?

what kind of split seems to be most popular?

do you guys train using the same or close to the same weight you did (including rep range) that you did at the end of you bulk without trying to increase it?

my stats are- 5'11" 215 lbs 16% BF

solid training principle, remain solid, regardless of caloric deficit or surplus. you have to play with how much deficit is best for you, so experiment with a calorie total that works for you (given your body's individual demands)
 
as far as lifting goes it shouldnt matter which program you using as long as you continue to lift you should be good. i dont think the gains will continue to come while cutting though i might be wrong and it could be diff for each person

wheather training for def or size, the biggest thing you have put together is a strick diet, My precontest plan consists of1.5 to 2 grams of protei for every pound I have on my body. also be dure that you consume 1-2 galloms of water every day, You will definately be suprise with the resul .
