Just installed the GeForce FX5950 Ultra video card

I've had 2 ati cards and they both had glitches,so in my opinion (which is damn near priceless),nvidia is it,and has been since the beginning.The only reason ati has a name is because they are the closest opponent to pny.

chesty you must of paid a ton for your card,and you don't even know the name of it???

I actually favor nvidia because they're the only company that's bothered to release drivers for the FreeBSD OS. I can get ATI & nvidia for Gentoo Linux.

BinGO! Your right. They have some smoking fast cards but the drivers can be a real bitch. I have dealt with many. Friend of mine just bout a ATI FireGL 9700 Video Card, 256MB DDR, 256-bit, Dual DVI, AGP Pro50, Model "FIRE GL X1" and I thought about getting one myself but just going by other ati cards i have had I will never own one again.

I think ATI has had mucho problemos with drivers. I've never had one though, but I"ve heard that a lot,

I just bought a new Dell 8300 and picked the ATI Radeon 9800XT 256MB, are you guys saying its junk ? Cause that was the best they're offering.

Dell is very price-sensitive; ATI probably offered them better bang for X bucks. Not to mention they choose stability over speed so you won't have to call for support.
