Just got screwed on my Internship

So today, 2 weeks before I'm supposed to start, the manager calls me up. He said he just went to the regional sales meeting and it turns out his location doesn't do enough volume (retail) in sales to hire a management intern.

This is the position he promised me over 2 months ago. I quit seeking other internships, and put in my 2 weeks at my current part time job (which I could have worked full-time for the summer).

Sweet, so not only did I give up my already gauranteed job, I now have to scramble and try to find another internship with 2 weeks of school left.

That motherfucker, how unprofessional. I have a mind to go there and.....nevermind that.

Just venting.

Wow bro, I keep looking for a reason to blame you but I really can't find one. Was this a company that has a relationship with the school or the career planning office? Cause that's fucked. Hopefully the school can help you find another one.

Good luck, douchelips

Actually yes I found them through our career center's website. I'll have to look into that. Unacceptable.

Maybe it's just me and my current bad mood but I would fire off an email letting him know this puts you in a difficult position as it's something that he could have determined sooner than now.
Don't do it unless you can make it seem professional but not angry. No point in burning a bridge already.

I say let the school do it. If they already have a relationship with this employer, chewy needs to tell them what happened an ensure they are doing something about it, both on his end and the employer's end.

I would but really it's not even worth my time. He'll just offer me a normal job, then I will decline, and that will be it. That fucker.
