I went to the doc today. He walked in shook my hand and asked whats going on. I explained my nipples have been extremlely sore. So I take my shirt off and lay back. He starts feeling on my pecs. Then he says "Damn Chad, you have some pretty big pecs" (sorry i had to throw that in there). Then he asks if i have been runnning. I told him no. He says its probably from the friction of my shirt. So he tells me that since i workout that my test levels are high. So he writes something down with an a in it. I was thinking oh shit ARIMIDEX!!!!. Well its some bullshit. I cant read it but it looks like this. ANAPNOT or ANAPDOT. Im fucking pissed. He didnt even do bloodwork. Im calling my otehr Doc as im posting this.

What the hell did he prescribe? He said it was an anti-inflammatory. I tried searching on it but found nothing.

I have arimidex. Im a feen ultra, you have to realize that. I want some liquidex anything. I am gonna get blood work done.

I mean if can get an anti-e, i want it. So are you saying if you went to this doc with this problem you wouldnt want something as expensive as arimidex? Dont bring ** arimidex into this.

golfer, i see what your saying, i didnt know what you meant by feen ultra, totaly NOT trying to be a smartass.

What do you expect?

As far as I know, the ONLY LEGITIMATE use of Arimidex is for women and in the treatment of breast cancer. Period.

Docs can only prescribe drugs based on their currently APPROVED uses. Meaning if the FDA has approved Arimidex just for breast cancer, and breast cancer ONLY, then a Doc (at least in my understanding) can ONLY prescribe it for that purpose.

Add to that the issue of the Doc being required to explain and justify the cost to an insurance carrier, and the Doc’s hands are tied.

This would be like you walking in and complaining "I was hurting from a splinter and my Doc would not give me Oxycontin or Percocet". Sure those ARE pain killers, but are they warranted for a small cut? No. If the Doc DOES prescribe one of these when they are not warranted, he might have to explian why later (yeah, these are narcotics so they would be watched more closely, but still ... you get the point)

Docs have to judge diagnosis and treatment based on the info they have. And lets face it, most guys don’t walk into a doc’s office and complain of itchy nips, and have it be Gyno. In most cases (again in MOST cases, which means people that do NOT use AS) it WOULD be due to something like irritation from a shirt.

Now if you TOLD him that you were using AS and told him you felt this sensitivity, ok ...... maybe THEN he would start thinking more of it being Gyno. But even THEN ..... I think he is STILL bound to not go and prescribe Arimidex for you.

I mean - especially if you have insurance. They want to know WHY they are paying for something. The only way that he could justify that would be to say you have Gyno, and THAT is going to create questions.

So, I think you may be asking a bit too much from your Doc.
