Lots of action, Entertaining, some pretty funny parts, and lots of cheezy one liners. Not the best movie out there but it was fun.

These aren't the type of movies that you base on quality acting. You go to them to just have a good time. I am going to see it tomorrow, I am not expecting much. I think Vin can act. If you watch Boiler Room, and even Pitch Black (very cheesy flick, but he was able to make it seem more than it was). But he has sold out for "yo' b whad up holmez" action flicks. I can't say that I blame him, for 20 mil a pic, I would have too! Perhaps we will see more of Vin and some real acting in the still unseen Knock Around guys that was made 2 years ago.
On another note, I don't get peoples fascination with him. He does look like your typical contruction worker. Althougth he does have a charisma to him, perhaps that is it. Very manly too, and women do like that. So, I suppose I understand why they love him so much. I just don't get the guys? It seems a lot of tall guys have suddenly been shaving their heads, hoping to look like him. My sisters boyfriend, a 30 year old cop, has too. He weights 180 at 6'3 soaking wet, shaves because he has to (balding, you can tell), and swears people come up to him at the beach thinking he is Vin. He also is very goofy, does not have a deep voice, and bushy eyebrows.

I read a review of XXX and they compared Vin's acting to Arny's, (same genre of films), and while they did point out many similarities, they made the point of Vin being a much better actor than Arny.

I saw it last night as well....Not the greatest flick I have ever seen, and yes, the cheesy one liners were awful....to say the least....

Overall I would give this a 4.....probally better suited for the 10 to 16 year old crowd....JMO

I saw it tonight, decent movie. If you don't try to think too much during it, you will get a couple hours of fun out of it. Just DO NOT try to piece it all together. I would give it a 5 out of 10.
As for Knockaround Guys, it was made 2 years ago, and has been sitting on the shelf. It is not an action flick. This was made when Vin still cared about acting. Now that one of the actors has become a star, they are going to release it. It comes out this fall. Diabolo has also completed shooting, but now needs some reshooting.
He actually did start off wanting to be a real actor, and was good. He made 2 short films, which got very good reviews, and his supporting roles in Boiler Room, and Saving Private Ryan proved he could do more than grunt. Also, if you watch Pitch Black, he somehow makes it more than it is (a cheap movie). But sadly he has sold out to make cheap "yo b whats up?!" action flicks. For 20mill a movie, you would too!
As for the Arnold crap, every new muscle guy that comes along is being compared to Arnold. They said Scorpion King was like Conan, and that The Rock would be the next Ahnuld. Arnold didn't need fake names, or clumbsy one liners. He wrote most of all his one liners, and his dry sense of humor made them work (look at Vins in XXX they don't come off funny), Arnold was simply larger than life, in more ways than one. For the people who say he can't act, watch Twins, Collateral Damage, Total Recall, Junior, etc. He can do more than get oiled up in army pants with a gun. But believe it or not, I think Arnolds best movie for acting was Conan. My favorite part was when he killed Thulsa Doom, and all the worshippers left, leaving Conan alone on the steps, reflecting on life, and his actions. Those few moments of silence speak volumes. Bottom line, The Rock, and Vin are welcomed new blood in action movies, but they will never hold a candle to Arnold.
