Just Got Back From Doctor

Went To The Doctor Today, Routine Physical. Anyways I Have Always Had A Small Problem With Gyno Since Puberty. Well I Brought This Up To Her And Now She Is Having Me Do Multiple Blood Test Done To Determine Why It Is There And What The Cause May Be. She Did Ask Questions About Drug Use Such As Weed, Alcohol, And Steroids. I Denied The Use Of All Except Expermintal Use Of Pot When I Was A Teen. (i Am Now 25) This I Think Could Be Good Or Bad. In These Blood Tests She Is Going To Do, Will The Be Testing For Juice? Low / High Levels Of Testerone? Or Anything Else I May Need To Know About? I Am 2 Weeks In On A Cycle Of 25mg Daily Of D-bol And Had Planned To Start 500mg A Week Of Sust For 10 Weeks On Monday. What I Really Need To Find Out Is Should I Hold Off On The Sust And Stop The D-bol Now Just In Case They Check For That. If They Do Check How Long Will I Need To Wait To Be Sure It Is Not In My System? Also By Stopping The D-bol Wont That Lower The Test Levels Enough That I May Be Able To Convincer Her To Get Me Started On A Test Therapy? What Do You Guys Think I Should To Do To Get The Most Out Of This Situation? I Am Sure That She Will Recemond The Removal Of The Gyno.

Find a new doctor bro...or one you can trust...my Dr. knows that I juice and is totally cool about it, he has never put it in my "file"

I agree. She will know when she looks at your test and estrogen levels that you're using something. Just be honest. If she flips out find a new doc.

Can someone please explain to me what the big deal is about your doc knowing you use steroids? That is your doctor...everything should be confidential anyways........this at least is how it is in Canada....is it different in the US??
My doc knows and I prefer it that way...it is in my file as well....
Not flaming.....was just curious is all....

It is confidential here in the US too.... I think the problem is that guys are so used to keeping it secret from friends and family, that the behavior just moves on to their doctors too.... We are always teaching Deny Deny Deny, but to the Doc, you should tell him..... I guess it's hard to change your behavior..... Especially when your Doc has been your doc since you were a kid, that kinda adds to the difficulty..... I agree, let her know, don't hide it.....

If it is put in your medical records it could cause trouble later on when it comes to needing insurance paying for something. They insurance company could say that the use of steroids cause "x" problem and they refuse to pay.

Well I disagree...sort of. The point being made that if she has been your Dr. for years or since you were a kid and you can trust her to not put something in your file, then go ahead. However, I am a bit jaded to Dr's due to some things being talked about to those that should not of known and the ONLY person I told was my Dr. so I am 100% positive he talked. Nothing gear related just some sensitive info. I learned the hard way that the law says one thing but they don't always follow it now do they? If you proceed, due so with caution is my 2 cents worth.

if you ghad this pre puberty insurance should cover surgery for removal.
i would NOT admit any type of drug use to doctor if you want insurance to cover.

I agree with you bro, how can your doc help you if he has to guess what youre doing. i guess it is diff, maybe because steroids arnt such a hot topic in canada.

Although most doctors use the information to assist them in their decisions, rest assured the insurance company will use it adversely to deny paying for the tests and/or procedures. It depends how cool your MD is. If you can tell him the truth and have him keep it out of the record, that's the way to go. But good luck. Honestly, most of us who aren't BB'ers don't know a damn thing about AAS, and even less about PCT. Safest bet is to act dumb and not say anything about their use bc it will wind up in your file and hurt you later. Do your last shot/pill of your cycle. DO NO PCT, and let your natural test levels crash to zero (it will take 6-8 weeks). Then, go to your MD and complain about being tired and your lack of horniness (which will be true!) Your doctor will take a test level, see the zero result and exclaim "Eureka, now I know why you have gyno!" and then the insurance co will pay-no questions asked. Also, when you do have the surgery done, be totally off-cycle bc you can have the tendency to bleed and you don't want such a nasty complication for such a minor surgery.

yep you can be mister honesty all you want, insurance companies are the most sheisty people on earth, make no mistake. they use any reason they can to not pay for things. do not have steroids on your file, just my two. i had to get antibiotics once for an infection and the doc put pain in left glute rather then infection from steroids. thank god. when i finished college i had to get insurance separate from my families and they looked at all the files.

I don't think insurance co can deny a claim becuase your file says you use aas. They sure don't do it to smokers. They didn't deny my hospital stay after I crashed while road racing motorcycles. I'm not even sure they have access to med files due to hippa regs.

I agree to one thing though, stop capping every word. i could not struggle through another of your posts if typed like that

The 'confidentiality' is partial and not complete, as it is between attorney and client.
A court can order a doctor to disclose medical records in a criminal investigation, but only the record relevant to that investigation would be disclosed. Rest of the information will still remain confidential.
Your doctor most likely would check your hormone levels, including test levels.

Could you also see an IT specialist to get your keyboard fixed as it Seems To Be Doing Everything In Proper Case rather than just normal.

Dude, my best friend is a lawyer for a big medical insurance company and you best believe that if they order records and see AAS use that they deny it as being pre-exisiting or as a consequence of illegal drug use. (Same logic as why life insurance doesn't have to pay for suicides). Motorcycle riding is legal and so is cigarette smoking. Tobacco companies have big lobbies and big money and were able to push exceptions through the law, but even they are starting to come under fire. Also, HIPPA is inapplicable with regards to insurance companies bc when an individual takes out the policy, you sign a waiver giving them access to ALL your medical information.

Don,t sweat it bro, the doctor-patient privilege is absolute. Nothing you tell your doc. regarding your health can ever be used against you so come come clean with her!

What he said ^^^. . .for those of you from north of the border, our medicine is not socialized here, there's an extreme profit motive, especially on the part of insurance companies. Anything that they can use against you to deny you coverage, they will. In reality, they only want to cover "healthy" people that aren't going to use their insurance very often and anyone that is using controlled substances without a scrip is definitely viewed as a HIGH risk.
