Just getting back sucks

What's up everyone. I'm new to this board and am just getting back into bodybuilding. It has been at least a few years since I have touched weights and I've been to the gym twice now. Basically taking it easy and trying to get back to where I was. Man I'm never taking time like that off again. I mean for my first time back I benched 185 and just stuck with preacher curls with 65 pounds and it was not too bad but man stamina is completely gone. I used to bench more like 235 to 240 and do more weight overall everywhere. I'm just wondering since I've heard about this muscle memory thing how long it should take for everthing to come back. I've actually got more size now but am weaker but I mean 2 days in the gym is nothing. It was just quite depressing and was wondering if 3 months in the gym will I notice anything dramatic than my workout I had last night? I think I know this I guess I just need some motivation. I'm 25 years old and want to eventually juice but definately not now, I'm thinking in about 6 months or so. Thanks for any replies.

Muscle memory isnt a myth, Youll be surprised how quickly you come on Bro. Just stick at it, In 3 months youll have made good progress. Hell youll notice a big improvement in your stamina in a month.

i know how you feel bro starting over again sux but remember muscles have memory and they will return quite quick if training and diet is good as far as juices goes i would wait unit you have been training solid for at least a year get your training and diet nailed down just be patient this will not happen overnight or without determination and consistency for motivationm i suggest you check out the training board and the diet forum theres lots and lots of info on there and the rest of this board there are also lots of good bros that will help so good luck and hit them fuckin weights hard let us know how you make out good luck

The first 6-8 weeks of any training adaptations are neuromuscular, they will develop some strength very quickly, after that more muscle tissue development. Muscle memory is not a myth, but it only last for so long. Have you ever heard of visualization? That is part of muscle memory.

Wow talk about some fast replies.lol I appreciate the advice I'll be around the diet forum for a while to get that under control. Right now I am just loading in the protein. The first night that I did upper body was very exhausting but man I did get that pump in my arms and chest hat I used to love. My arms are usually around 17" when I got home they were damn near 18", but shrunk right back down to 17".lol I'm guessing they were so pumped up because I shocked the shit out of them. For now my goal would be 18" all the time ah hell I just want to get bigger everywhere so once I get my strength back up and joints up to par it's back to all heavy. As for now I need some rest because I am one sore mofo, and yeah I thinka year of solid working out would be better before I touched anything, I'm sure I could make some great gains naturally anyway. Thakns again.

yeah plus now summer is pretty much over so you have all year to train hard for next summer. Just keep yourself motivated bro, see yourself how you wanna look next year and that always helps me.
