jumping rope

a skipping rope will actually raise your heartrate the fastest out of any cardio exercise (running, swimming, cycling...etc)

depends on how fit you are, you can just warm up with one or spend 30 mins doing a full workout (obviously having breaks)

yeah, i usually go between 15-30 min. the better you get, the longer you want to go. it's a great way to challenge yourself while burning fat, and not to mention, greatly improving your coordination.

What type of rope do you use?

my boxing gym does these at the end of the workout. 3 sets for 3 minutes each. So far I have lacked the coordination to jump rope well. I'm having difficutly but think I can get it eventually.

i use a speed rope. it's plastic (stings like a bitch when it hits you) with ball bearings in the handles. it's the best possible, as far as i've seen. believe it or not, i looked EVERYWHERE for it, and i finally found it at. . . walmart.
