2 years ago i noticed towards the end of my cycle my heart rate was unusually high while at rest, combined with some really annoying heart palpitations and dizzy spells. Went to the doc, all checked out except my high bad cholesterol. I was honest with him about my use. He gave me Lipitor. I only took it for a month, even though that is the kind of med that they expect you to take for the rest of your life if you are prone to High Cholesterol. I had my blood work re-done about 3 months after the cycle. I knew my initial #s were skewed because of the juice. So I stopped taking the Lipitor after a month. Sure enough the numbers jumped way down after the 2nd blood work.
The same scenario occurred again after my last cycle. Ended up in he docs office, same deal, high bad cholesterol. I told the doc that this only happens when Im on. Of course he told me to stop taking juice and to take the Lipitor.
Well I am not going to stop. I am concerned about this. Heart disease does run in my family. Should I take Lipitor while on cycle? All year round to be on the safe side? Or don't bother and just monitor my blood while on and off cycle (don't react when its high while i am on, since its to be expected and only react if its high while Im off)?
Your thoughts?
