yesterday's training log

chest
- hammer strength flat press 2x12 2 plates shoulders felt good after these so i decided to do some dumbell work

- incline dumbells followed a 5x5 here...not sure why really

70x5
75x5
80x5

****even with horrible shoulders by progressively lifing heavier with the same rep scheme i guess it warmed my shoulders right up...i couldn't believe i was doing 80lbs dumbells as i haven't done them since my shoulder surgery :chomp:

back
- pull ups....no added weight. 2x12 did them real slow...and really felt my lats being worked! sometimes when i add the dumbell i don't notice my last as much...but i know i'm lifitng heaveir weight and just try and get the reps done...maybe i'll do these without weight for a while

- rows 2x12 165lbs used close grip handle

shoulders
- front presses 1x12 145lbs i think tomorrow i'm going to try the 5x5 rep scheme and see how i feel...it worked great for chest

- side laterals 1x20 30lbs

- bent over laterals 1x15 25lbs

- upright rows 1x105lbs

arms
- standing ez curl bar once again did a modified 5x5

70x5
80x5
90x5
110x5

was again impressed with my numbers and how i felt...shoudlers were hurting a tiny bit but warming up with all those sets def helped. back felt a little strained on the last few reps of the last 2 sets but whatever...i don't care

- rope extensions 1x15 1x10

going to do squats and some assistant work tonight for legs...hopefully after therapy tonight i won't be as tight as i was last thursday

thx ck...after reading alot of the logs in the training forum (mm, sarge, biggt) i decided to try and modify it to suit my capabilities. trying the 5x5 scheme on some of my lifts....we'll see. wish i was 100% and could do the program normally but i don't want to hurt myself again and then be limited further.

biggt- thx bro...my shoulders and back have always been stronger then my other parts...my benching is horrible though! i may switch to close grips like sarge and mm starting friday...

i'm going to try and do 5x5 with front presses today....and do side laterals after as an assistance exercise...that's depending on wheteher or not i think i need it. i'm guessing no...but we'll see. i'm thinking i can prob get 175x5....

and yeah...i can def babble in these logs ;)
 
175 standing....no way!!! 135x5 standing...yes

i will be seated for these....easier on my back

O.k. so on to your shoulder.. You say your back is stronger then your chest?!?! I am kinda suprised with all the shoulder stuff. What are they doing in PT for you???

tre- i don't know what it is...but everytime i leave my apartment there's a story i need to tell someone. it could be the little things but i really have a funny story every single day.

i'll make this short... ie. i just got out of sensitivity training (required) and this old fawk kept using the word gay and saying how it's his belief that it's against his morals yada yada yada ....little does he know that there is this huge dike sitting right next to him turning bright red!! i had to excuse myself and let out a huge cry of laughter in the bathroom...

tre i like what your doing in the underroos dept. :qt: i like to go commando sometimes...it's nice on a breezy fall day. but the summertime produces too much swas! :evil:

as far as my shoulder is concerned i have always been stronger in those areas...even before i hurt my shoulder. my shoulder bothers me a little during direct shoulder work...during chest it's down right painful....

first pt was yesterday....guy rubbed my back and tried to get the tightness out of the muscles for about 20 minutes. then he stretched my hips, hams and quads...then i did a few mckenzie exercises...
