Joint supplements

What I have is pain in the joint behind the patella, which arose only since I recently began cardio. I trained from the start in a way that would protect the joints as I want them working as long as possible lol. I'm using the elliptial, bike, rowing machine and just 5 mins on the treadmill *walking* to finish.

I think I may have the same problem a friend of mine has who gained weight. He wore out all the cartalige in his joints, so now they grind, click and hurt. He does no excercise... ahem!

Other than a physio, what supplement/s would you recommend?

Currently I take: 1 Animal Pak (1g shark cartalige)
5g's ALA from flax oil

I have a bad left knee from an accident in 05, I've found a few things that may help you. Vitamen E, vitamen c, and of course flaxseed oil. There's a great supplement called Phosaplex, which has glucosamine, chondrointon, Msm, collagen, and a lot of other things I can't remember. This is about $50 for a months supply. If you cant' afford this, take individual doses of glucosamine (6000-12000 mg/day), chondroiton (3000-6000 mg/day), msm (2000-4000 mg/day). I also take Boswellia extract which is proven to help with tendon inflammation. If you can see a doctor, get a prescription ansiad, or celebrex, or tramadol for the pain. Hope this helps,
