deca always does the trick :)

r u running alot?

bc of my height & weight i try not to jog or run anymore. i use speed walking or brisk walking on an incline for my cardio. lee haney used to do it all the time bc anything else takes a toll on the joints.

There is a product called Cissus, that I consider a miracle drug for joints tendons, connective tissue, etc. It takes a while to kick in but I swear to you..it works . Google "Cissus" for online prices.

How much do you weigh Guardian? Based on your avi photo you do not look "massive" by any means. Rather quite lean, athletic and I would think,agile..

guardian is a lean 240lbs. if i'm correct...but yes, added weight adds serious joint/tendon/ligament problems if you don't train your body gradually to get used to the added weight...

+1 on the cissus quadrilangus (sp?)

Also, I've tried several Gluc/Chondr/MSM supps, and the only one that's ever worked for me is the Osteo Bi-Flex brand.

I take this and cissus and make sure I warm up these old joints (I'm 35, lol) with some rotations, at least 5-10 minutes on the bike (nothing too fast or furious), and warm up sets before my working set(s).

Have you tried icing it right after the jog/run/leg workout? Between warming them up properly, wearing a sleeve to keep it warm, and icing it down really well, I'm able to a long run/sprint and work my legs hard again, and I had a massive surgury without any professional rehab just over a year and a half ago.
I also take really hot baths in epsom salt afterwards, and massage it during the bath. That helps to get rid of muscle soreness too.

Perhaps you should try working the legs in a different way and yet see them grow at the same time.

Good point. Try one and a half squats, use a lower weight with than normal for squats, go down slowly, up halfway, pause, back down, and all the way up. Thats one rep.
If you feeel particularly bitter and/or hateful of yourself :) , mix these and "breathing" squats. Aim for 20 after a good warm up. They're horrible, but work well.

currently i am 240 at a height of 6'2". takes alot of weight to look massive at my height.

my avi was at about 223.

im 200lbs rite now, im in the army, and i have to run to make my pt times, joggining doesn't seem to bad, but after i run or play basketball, my ankles and knees are in tremendoes amout of pain, almost feels like arthritis.

THAT'S JUST SICK AND WRONG !...... :lmao:

when I get done dieting i expect to be around 230's at the same conditioning as my avi though it really doesnt show, to me anyways though my arms and back are bigger according to the tape measure.

Glucosamine on its own is not that much use, it has to be taken with MSM.

Glucosamine-chondrotin is superior as well, more expensive.

Also, you may need a good mineral supp, as the collagenase enzymes require copper and sulphur (see above MSM) as a co-factor.

I would also take collagen.

What is your fat intake like?
