Jinotropin GH: Cadaver Salvage or Manufactured?

I don't think GH is salvaged from cadavers at all anymore. Why risk a prion disease when it can be efficiently made.

My answer to that at 'ology was this:

If the corpses or at least access to their pitutary glands is cheap or free?

Who makes Jinotropin?

Again, the risk of the prion disease (the name of which I cannot spell) from extracting GH from cadavers is well understood and documented. No reputable pharmaceutical company would follow such a practice. They would risk a catastrophic flood of law-suits if nothing else. It may even be illegal given the well known risk (but I don't know that for sure).

Jinotropin isn't exactly a reputable pharmaceutical company, and they aren't even subject to decisions made in US courts.

Thats just messed up! I never would want to be taking something from someone's recycled cadaver

That's a great point. But is Jinotropin made by a reputable pharmaceutical company?

If I didn't know for sure, I wouldn't touch the stuff with a 10 ft pole. There is no treatment or cure for prion diseases. The chance just isn't worth it.

Think about it though, they and Anke are producing the majority of Chinese GH and have been for years. If they were extracting from cadavers then there would have been at least few cases of prion disease. That news would have been everywhere by now (these boards, 20/20, 60 minutes, etc), and Jinotropin would be done. If just one BB or 50yo man died of prion disease from a product bought off the black market or from an anti-aging clinc you have the makings for prime time news drama.
