yes ladies and gents, the jeremys is actually cutting instead of bulking. i got up to 260 pounds and according to calipers, i'm 25% bodyfat. that makes my LBM 195. i'm bigger than i thought.

the last 2 days i've been eating clean and trying to keep a 40/30/30 diet. i WILL get to 8% bodyfat, which will put me at about 215 lbs. i'm going to try to stay single-digit bf through most of the summer unless i start wasting away.

i might try a CKD diet as soon as i figure out what the hell it is. supposed to be great fat loss and not so catabolic as other diets. we'll see

for training, i think i'll stick with doggcrapp's routine unless overtraining becomes an issue. then i'll probably switch to 5x5.

haha, no wrestling for me. i still gotta get my back fixed. i hope because of dieting down that i dont get more prone to injury somehow
 
If you use hydroxycut you'll be down to 8 in 2 weeks.

i'll be using whey protein. probably creatine too

hydroxycut would be nice but i'm only 15. dont need to mess my heart up
 
i've posted the following pic before. you'll notice a lot of fat but only some size, due to not lifting for 3 months. this is gonna be one big change
 
Hey dude, good luck with the cutting!

When you find something that seems to be working, in terms of diet, post it up so i can see, if you dont mind. I am planning to cut come spring time and i have never done it before.

well it looks like i'll be doing a 50/20/30 diet...or maybe 30/20..ideas anybody?

i'm going to train doing HST. many people have gained LBM on it while cutting a bit of bf%
 
today i got my food. 3 bags of boneless, skinless chicken breasts w/ 46g protein each one, a bag of fish filets, some beef, skim milk, over 8 cans of tuna. there's oatmeal here too, also bananas. am i missing anything?
 
some grits, thats some good carbs to have first thing in the mourn.

Some salmon or crab (this is what i'm trying out right now, sooo sick of tuna) whole wheat bread? brown rice?

double cheesburger meal....

haha, i have cheese too. i cant eat too much fish stuff...my skin breaks out really bad if i have much, so these fish filets are probably enough
 
good luck with your cutting period!
given your age I'd rather stay with basic clean diet, rather than using hydroxycut. if you'd like suggestions post your diet :)
 
yeah that was a sarcastic comment about the hydroxy cut.

Sorry i guess it didnt relay through the computer screen too well :p

plus the hydroxycut up here, is all herbal garbage well not that green tea extract exactly sucks but...you know what i mean...(ephedrine is illeagle in canada) due to it screwing with peoples hearts, i wouldnt do that shit anyway, i'd rather live longer than lose a couple of LBS.

so whats your training regimen like?
details details, I'm planning on going on a cutting phase in 2 more months, gonna be my first in a long ass time, hook up some tips bro.

some guy on the diet board is helping me set up a CKD diet. the training goes along with the diet. there's a whole thread, couple pages long over there. pretty interesting i think. go read it if you have time

well the diet part wasnt too hard to follow today. i still need more fat though. i'm at 95.5g so far and i need 279!!

training went horrible. i bench over 300 but i couldnt even do 155 for 15! thats a hell of a lot of volume too. this coupled with the circuit training on the last day leads me to believe this is a machine/cable training program that the CKD guys have outlined for me.

so today all i did was:

bench: 155x12x2x1=15 reps, 160x6!!

*got pooped out here and was getting pretty pissed off. i decided to do some stuff that i know i could do.

incline bench: 135x8

flyes: 20lbs x 10

'rack' deads (off bench) 225x5x5sets

yates rows: 155x5x5 sets

the program they have outlined is too much volume for me, and maybe it wouldnt be if i was using machines. you'll never catch me doing that though. HST sounds good to me. in and out and it works.
 
lol...i'm cutting and i have to do a bodyopus training program if i want the CKD to work. i also dont need a bigger ass and midsection
 
i ran 4 or 5 short sprints today w/ a little bit of jogging. i swear you can see my top two abs pretty well when flexed now. lol
 
today was fucked up because of some personaly shit so i havent eaten for 5 hours. the hunger is gone now and my energy is up, so i'm thinking im in ketosis already.
 
its where you dont have much/any glucose in your system, so your liver releases ketones. i dont know exactly how, but you end up burning fat and the ketones spare protein.
 
well this diet consists of high protein and no/very low carbs. it has zapped my strength down to that of a 12 year old girl. seriously. look at these numbers...

today:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BB curls: 55x15, 60x12, 60x10, 60x8, 60x6, bar x 15

lying tri extensions: 55x15, 60x12, 65x10, 70x8, 75x6, 50x15

DB curls: 15x15, 20x12, 20x10, 20x8, 20x6, 5x15(too light)

CG bench: 95x15, 100x12, 105x10, 110x8, 95x10

i've never done this amount of volume. the amount of volume is supposed to get rid of glycogen in the muscles to get into ketosis. weights are incredibly low and the sad thing is that i had to cheat on quite a few reps.
 
So how much have you lost, and how long have you been doing th ckd?
I think comparing yourself to a 12 year old girl is an overstatement of sorts.

Even if your weights go down for a little while... think how much better your body will look in the long run...
I'm sure as soon as you decide its time to go back to bulking, or even a standard isocaloric diet (once the bulk of your BF is gone), maybe even when you get used to the whole CKD business, your weights should go back up pretty quick...

today was supposed to be legs day. i just got my dog back from the vet and his front leg is paralyzed from getting hit by a car. i have to take care of him..

i did 1 set of 15 zercher squats and just said to hell with it. my mind's not in it. i'll lift tomorrow

as soon as i get down to a decent bodyfat %, im pretty sure i'll be doing westside if i can find a way to incorporate direct quad and bicep work

its nice, but its hard as heck to explain to anybody, I tried to explain it to my girlfriend, and she just laughed.

some how even though I skipped me upper body my pecs and tris are really sore, must be all th efootball I played this week, us indoor track people are hardcore;) but i really seem to never get sore with my lower body, it might be because I run and have a high GPP, of course I really don't know what that has to do with recovery, but, who knows, speaking of recovery I'm going to bed, see you later

haha, thanks. it was only reall bad that 3rd day of the diet. its going away now.
 
woke up with a nice case of diarrhea at 3.30 in the morning, and when i woke up again i had killer chest pains and what felt like heartburn. didnt do anything differently yesterday.

i just realized i have diarrhea pretty often.

on a side note, i would run sprints today but i just did legs yesterday. i guess i'll switch legs to wednesday and arms to friday
 
my goals have changed slightly. i did a lot of thinking today..

i will diet down to 230 and then i will powerlift from then on. i can still get bigger and thicker PL. i can also reach huge numbers. very fun stuff..

i'm going down to 230 so when i gain strength/size back, i can regulate the muscle vs fat gain and i will lift in the 242 class
 
yup, that's if my back is near 100%. i'm going to try to hit some reverse hypers a couple times a week at school, dont know if i'll have time though.
 
today somebody at school told me i looked a lot skinnier, lol. i'm betting it's from my muscles being flat and depleted and also the loss of water that occurs the first week or so of low/no carbs. here's todays workout:

rack deads: 135x15, 145x12, 155x10, 165x8, 135x15

BO rows: 135x15, 140x12, 145x10, 150x8- drop set-135x8

incline bench: 135x10, 140x8

incline flyes: 20sx20
 
i'm adding in band pullthroughs and band GM's a couple times every day so i can hopefully get my back to be better. i cant believe i stopped doing these. i have no idea why.

this is such a nagging injury.
 
yes, my back is STILL very weak and tender. still hurts if i do anything that involves twisting or sliding or anything of that nature. my back has been like this since JULY. i cant go heavy on much at all. it's a severe physical obstacle, but moreso a mental obstruction. i feel very weak and i'm probably making out the problem to be more than it is

i train at home..
 
so how much do you weigh now? you should also try this static contractoin exercise, lie down on your back, but have your feet flat on the floor, like youre going to do a situp, then kind of push with your legs, hips and back, into a posistion that almost makes a triangle with the ground, sorry but this is really hard to describe
 
i'm guessing i've lost 5 pounds, but i haven't weighed myself for at least a week.

i do all those rehab stretches and excercises, but they dont seem to do much.

when i was 12 or so i hurt my back. my right iliopsoas(sp?). that was during the summer.

the next summer i tore my glute/hamstring insertion. that took about a year to fully get over.

now this summer, i did this shit.

i'm doomed. lol
 
haha, thanks..i dont really do anything special. i just keep fucking myself up and hoping i get better. i'm more of a dumbass than anything
 
well if you're talking about dumbasses, I'm #1, why just today I crawled through the snow under some sticker bushes in shorts, so don't feel like too much of a dumbass;)

Ever tried climbing barb wire in shorts, because you were too lazy to walk ot the gate.... Ahh.. I miss being a pre-pubescent boy.. the wonderfully fun i put myself through...
 
well i figure i'm destined to powerlift and/or do some strongman stuff in a couple years. i thought i was a bodybuilder ;)

i've been doing new things and quitting things that i've done for years. i'm trying to find what i like best. i had my first meet in september, a bench-only, and that was so fun. i tried bodybuilding again to see if i liked it after that. i stuck with it for 2-3 months, and i'm doing pretty good i guess, but i cant imagine not having maximal strength because i would want to look pretty.

i'm going to see if i can get into powerlifting tomorrow. there hasn't been any meets yet, so that'll be good. we also have a sport rehab place in town that sends a guy to come to our school so maybe he can help me with my back. i'll probably end up deadlifting sumo.

i'm losing too much strength on the CKD, so i'll just increase workload and eat good. i'll be lifting in the 275 class.

today i got out of ketosis faster than you can say 'fat'
