I forgot to mention yesterday. WIll you be watching the UFC this weekend? I'm looking forward to Randy vs. Mark. Mainly, because of the wrestling backgrounds of both. Greco vs. free style. I know we both have wrestling backgrounds so this fight should have your interest as well. I have a feeling Mark has the better wrestling, but striking wise no.

Randy is gonna be in tough. He's not gonna be able to out wrestle the hammer and he's stroger then the natural. That's a big part of what Randy does.

I'm predicting a hugfest on this one.

Randy is gonna try to keep on his feet, sprawl, and go for subs. People really don't know how good Marks wrestling reall is. He's a beast when it comes to putting people on there backs and staying off his. The new UFC fan base don't really know much about him.

He will not be able to take Randy down. There is going to be a lot of "wrestling"... er "hugging" near the cage.

He can. He's a better wrestler then Randy was. Do you know anything about thier wrestling backgrounds at all or just of what you know of thier fighting career?

when two very skilled wrestlers meetup it forms to basically a stalemate/hugfest. It is very hard to take any top flight wrestler even if you are one of the best. Just watch the ncaa wrestling finals or even conference college championships and you will see barely any action.

This one may be about who can throw down better.

It's incredibly difficult to take somebody down who is a good wrestler. At the higher levels of high school and collegiate wrestling, you see a lot of grappling for position and not many actual takedowns. Additionally, it is especially difficult to take someone down in the octagon, because the sprawling wrestler can keep backing up until they are back against the cage, which they can then use for balance.

I predict Randy is the first to shoot, in order to push Coleman to the cage and secure a neutral grappling position. From there, he'll do his "hug and pound" style. I'm not excited about this fight, but I'll watch if I can find a free stream on the internet.

I give the wrestling edge slightly over to Randy but his opposition can throw a mean punch
