wtf? If phelps was black we would all be required to lick his balls. I'm a little perturbed that I see some black sportscasters around the net giving phelps props on one hand, but then sliding in the backhanded comment like "he ain't Ali, Jordan or woods". I'm no huge fan of swimming, but from an athletic standpoint I understand what swimming at that level entails. While it may not be a "technically demanding" sport like golf..........to even mention Tiger Woods "athletically" in the same breath as Phelps is simply astoundingly retarded. You can't compare the two endeavors in the first place, two WAY different skill sets. But if anyone thinks that what Tiger does to his body on a typical 4 round championship vs. what Phelps is doing to himself every day.........if you think they are anywhere near as close, you are tripping and need to doosh your brain out. And I would further go to say that Ali and Jordan would have to be compared to Phelps......not the other way around. Phelps is pretty much setting world records everytime he steps in the pool. The only athletes in history that I would put up against what he is doing is some of the great track and field guys. The guys that did more than one event. No basketball player or anybody else can compete on a "raw athletic" scale as olympians in certain disciplines. What Phelps is doing on a daily basis is simply unheard of. And if any of those black guys wants to step in the pool with him..........they would get dusted even if they were given fins.
I just found it annoying how covetous some of those black sportscasters are of past black athletes. Rest assured if Phelps was black all of us would still be in awe of him and saying he's one of the greatest athletes that ever walked. I'm beginning to believe people that say it's the black folks that can't let go of shit and are becoming not necessarily racist..........but more isolating. I saw this same kind of dynamic when it became clear that boxing was on it's way out and black guys weren't doing "as well" in MMA as they do in boxing. If black guys were dominating MMA boxing wouldn't even be talked about anymore...........cause it would have been "ok" to ditch boxing.
