Ive had a headache for approx. 5 days

it hit me in the gym last weekend. Not the ordinary "drank too much the night before" headache, more of a "please remove the ice pick from the back of my skull" type of headache.

I slept it off, but have had a residual headache ever since. Stayed out of the gym for a couple days, but when I went back last night, as soon as my pulse started cranking, the stabbing pain in my head returned.

Im sitting at work right now, the residual is still there. Not even a headache really, more of a pressure on the inside of my head. Im supposed to go skydiving tomorrow at noon(1st solo jump). Im thinking not such a good idea. Anyone had this happen before? Im starting to feel this is not going to go away on its own :worried:

allergies

bro, this is DEFINITELY NOT allergies. I dont have allergies , but Im pretty sure they dont feel like someone is pounding on your skull with a sledge hammer. The pain when my heart rate is up is enough to bring me to my knees.

Bro, not to be alarmist, but it might be an aneurysm. you need to check this out with a doc prontissimo - better safe than sorry. If you can't get an appointment tonite, go to an emergency room.

did it begin after a heavy lift? any weakness, nausea, dizziness?

forget the skydive for now.

yeah, it was after a heavy lift, i was pulling deads. No weakness, nausea or dizziness though, just a constant dull pain/pressure in my head when at rest...

I guess Ill hit the doc tomorrow am.

he's using descriptors like "ice pick", "sledge hammer" and "brings me to my knees".

without a history of migraines, absent head trauma, and given the severity and sudden onset, he needs to be evaluated for possible aneurysm.

When was the last time you took a week off from training? I am taking a week off now and my headaches left after the third day. Could be that.
