damn, too bad lee was 6th. i really thought he'd do better. too bad everything's fucked up. ronnie's gonna keep winning until he gives birth to whatever he's holding and has maternity leave. then maybe weider will let cutler compete

Very impressive physiques last night. I think Ronnie has his work cut out for him to be able to get #6.
HHH did a good job commentating too.
I was with the crowd... Gunter is a beast.
Except for Ronnie winning again, I'd say the "sport" is in pretty good shape.

After checking out every message board I can find and seeing pics of the show it's becoming apparent that Gunther is now one of the super-elite of the sport. MANY people are saying he should have won.
If Weider really was pulling strings don't you think the smiley-faced, good looking, good natured German monster would make a more marketable Mr. O? Gunther would sell more shit for Weider than Ronnie, that's for sure.
I'm glad to see Kevin getting back into the shape he is capable of too. His legs are lacking somewhat a little though. But, when you have a hernia operation I guess it's hard to push hundreds of pounds.
Nasser got 15th. wooooo.....I wanna see pics of that. I guess this will be his last show.

True enough. Almost every Olympia contest I can remember has had a vocal majority saying the champ shoudn't have won.

Yup. Some people seem to forget that or just aren't up on their bodybuilding history. And wasn't Sergio Oliva Mr. Olympia where Arnold won his 1st one? I may be wrong. But these were different times too. Bannout was beaten in 1982 by the guy who went on to have more Mr. O titles than anyone.

Yeah, Sergio got beat by Arny. Wasn't that the show where Arny tricked Sergio into walking off stage and then proceeded to make it look as if Sergio was giving up?

I thought Ronnie looked great and at 275 lbs and doing a split was pretty impressive but I agree Gunter looked amazing! he should have, atleast, placed 2nd. I hope next year he takes it.

Gunter is a nice guy and probably noone would represent the sport as well. He needs another year to take down Colemna though, based on those photos. Levrone looked awesome and Cormier looks damn near perfect in that photo.

Sergio lost his title in 1970 to Arnold, Zane lost his to Arnold in 1980, and Bannout lost his in 1984 (not 1982 that was the year Chris Dickerson won) to a vastly improved Lee Haney. On the distaff side, several female O's have been dethroned- this year in fact.

I think the crowd had it nailed with Gunter. He would be a perfect ambassador for the sport in my opinion. He is so humble and intelligent. Ronnie sounded like a fuckin bafoon!! He is why people percieve BBers to be big dumb morons. I was actually embarassed when he was speaking afterwards. What a fuckin joke. The mutherfucker sounds like he grew up on the front porch down south, and didn't go to school cause there was chores to be done.
