I was referring to click fest rts garbage like Command and Conquer. I grew up on turn based, like master of Orion and Heroes of Might and Magic, but the Hearts of Iron and the Medieval Total War series are real strategy games even though they have a "real time" element.

I have a friend that has nearly a year of playing time logged. Not he's been playing the game off and on for a year, but a YEAR of actual playing. A year of his life, gone, for a game. Oh, but in his defense he's part of one of the top 3 guilds

we must know the same guy... this guy is in the top guild in his server... I've never played the game but know a lot about it because everytime I go over there he is on it

His logged play wasn't quite a year but was like 300 days and his defense is "i usually just leave my guy online" ... it's amazing how addicting these games are

I don't really have the personality to get addicted to that stuff as I usually get bored quicker than addicted

but I have had my share of addictions
