It was miserable yesterday in SoCal. I had to go do a construction job in Simi Valley, and it was at least 95 there. And here in Somis, which is about 15 miles west of there, and about 15 miles inland from Malibu, it was easily 100. That's a switch, since usually the heat stays in the interior of Los Angeles County and doesn't hit us in Ventura County. We usually get an ocean breeze about 3:00 from Port Hueneme, but it didn't come all week. Last night I went down to West Los Angeles to drop off some groceries to a housebound uncle, and it was cooler but felt like Houston with the humidity. I guess on the positive side, I get to wear tanks and shorts, and show off my work!
