This weeks price to fill up my pickup is $102 canadian.
Prob equivalent to $68 us dollars.
Warik you said its only $780 bucks a year.
Thats true but lets look at the increase in the past year and a half.
My $102Canadian($68us) a year and a half ago used to cost $66can($44us) and at 3-4 tanks average lets say 3.5 for the hell of it gives me a old cost of $2772can($1851us) a year to a cost today of $4284can(($2856us) per year.
As far as if you can't afford it don't drive easier said than done> i Like many others need my truck for work and the simple solution is to say pass along the cost to the customer but in the real world ie competition you can't just raise you price like that unless you are a monopoly.
No matter where we live right now Canada, USA, Europe the bottom line is we are getting fucked period.
That extra $1000-1500 bucks a year I lose and whatever other people are losing right now could have gone towards investment, savings, or buying stuff that keeps the economies strong. Yet the only people making any real money right now are the oil companies.
And people who say stop complaining just don't drive well I have one thing to say to them. Don't complain when you are paying 50-100% more for items from your local grocery store because of the increased fuel costs they incur to transport the goods to us.
