It took me $30.00 to fill up my Jeep Yesterday!

Hey Warik....Pal! I gotta a right to bitch about gas if i want to. It's America isn't it? I am putting reguar in my fucking Jeep and it still costs $30.
I make enough money to put Gas in my truck (Well atleast until June 30th)...all i am doing is ranting and if you downloaded the bitmap attachment you could have seen a funny joke.

What is the big deal?

Cap, I know you were joking. =) I saw the image and had a good laugh. I was commenting to the other people who were clearly having a crying-contest about gas prices.

Fair enough but most companies do a net profit after paying taxes, employees costs etc of between 1-6% net.
I know ours did like 4.5% net this past fiscal year after all the above costs are factored in which is decent.
A little something I know being in my family business.

The thing you forgot to mention is that altho the margins may be whatever you say they are the increase in profit over 2 years ago has increased 10 fold.

BTW I was not the one who said Bush owns all the oil companies.

And I don't have a problem with any company making a profit. What I do have a problem is with oil companies and governments artificially inflating prices and taxes to up thier pockets on the backs of hard working people and companies.

And I wasn't flaming you Warik you seem like a decent person, when i was pointing out the costs I was basically pointing out what the increased costs look like long term. And that extra $1000-1500 bucks means I had to go out and make and extra $2000-3000 bucks a year pretax just to pay for this shit.

I can afford it right now as my money goes up every year due to increased business but 1. its bullshit to have an increase like that and 2. it hits regular people who have to scratch a living together even worse.
