if it's not one fucking damn thing, it's a-fucking-nother. i fuckin swear i've fucking had it. can't fucking take much more of this fucking shit.

fucking washing machine is fuckin fubar like a fuckin mother fucker. so there's fuckin money i don't fuckin have.

fuckin brakes in my fuckin Blazer are still fucked the fuck up (bleeder screws frozen). looks like i'm going to have to replace both fucking front fucking calipers at a cost of $13.88/ea (after i return the old ones). cheap, yeah, but more fuckin money i don't fucking have.

both fucking cars need fucking oil changes. i'll do that shit myself, no doubt, but still, gotta shit another fucking $25-30 for fucking oil and fucking filters.

fuckin kitten broke it's leg or some fucking shit like that. had to take it to the vet yesterday. no x-rays, but we gave it a shot of an anti-inflammitory. it's doing much better today. vet said x-rays would only 100% confirm if it was broken or not, and kittens heal amazingly fast, so she said the anti-inflammitory would help it out for the most part. kitten, amazingly, is doing much better today. still limping a little, but running around playing with the other cat. they're tackling each other and playing like dogs.

havn't fucking been in the fucking gym hardly at all in the past month. lost a few lbs of fucking fat, so that's fucking good. i fucking know i've lost some strength in my legs and my fucking lower back though. summer semester starts on fucking tuesday, so i'll be on campus 4 fucking days a week and able to hit the gym.

our fucking vacation fund is now fucking gone. we were saving up money for a trip to mid-ohio for the AMA races near the end of fucking july. with all the trips i've taken down to my grandmother's area to take care of her business, i've spent all that fucking money. what is left has to go to a new fucking washer and to pay for my fucking books for the summer semester.

my gun has been back for a few days and is fully fucking functional again. however, i was presented with some bad fucking news from the lawyer. if i tried to sue the fucking county over all the fucking bullshit that cop fucking pulled, i'd never get a fucking dime. why, you ask? how could this fucking be?! well, pretty fucking simple. our county is dirt fucking poor, and as a matter of fucking fact, the last fucking assholes that were running this county put it $1.5mil into fucking debt and they're walking the fuck away scot fucking free. so where's the fuckin money gonna come from?! who fucking knows.

needless to say, i'm fucking pissed the fucking fuck off.

believe me, i'm not just sitting on my ass, i still bring in an income.

if i start working, that's more money we've got to kick to daycare. and less time i have to handle my grandmother's affairs. and less time to do school work. less time to take care of the kids, but still just as much to do. and my girlfriend's work schedule is so fucked up, it changes constantly, so juggling her schedule along with all of that is hell in itself.

if i was working, i wouldn't of been able to make as much progress on my grandmother's situation as i have.

so any suggestions to juggle all 3 of those situations at once? i can't think of a simple way to do it all.

that sucks biteme. how far behind was she on the bill? i just found out the other day that my grandmother's electricity and gas (thank god she doesn't still live there) were shut off because she owed over $1500. i called the company to see if i could possibly just start making payments on it, as it'll make it easier to sell the house if the gas and electric are on already so perspective buyers can make sure things work. they said there hadn't been a payment in over a year. A FUCKING YEAR! this was not my grandmother's fault, and it's just one more thing to encourage me to knock my own mother out the next time i see her. i got the gas/elec switched over into my name and it'll be turned on next Friday. perfect timing, because we're finishing up paperwork that day and hopefully saturday it'll be listed in the paper, net, and wherever else. as much of a profit as she should see from the sale of that house, none of it is my money and none of it will be used for anything except for her and her care. i'm happy that she's going to profit substancially from the house. i'm too honest and decent of a person to even consider abusing her finances, so i'm going to have to stare at her checkbook and cry quite often....tears of joy for her, and tears of sorrow for me because my checkbook will show a balance of mere pocket change in comparison (actually, that's what my balance usually is after paying bills).

i'm starting to get the disturbing idea of selling the motorcycle back into my head again. 99 CBR600F4, 31K miles. fucker isn't even on the road and hasn't been for 2 years. needs new bodywork though, or the existing stuff fixed and painted. suggested retail on it is $4685. a full set of brand new bodywork (and tank) would run about $1500. other than that, battery, tune up, tires, it'd be ready to go. i've even got a brand new stock suspension to put on it as the current suspension has seen it's share of miles. i doubt i could get $3500 for it. if i could, then i could get rid of 2 of our other cars and turn it all around into a newer car that gets better milage and won't nickle and dime me to death. the blazer is killing me milage wise and the beretta needs some parts to make it legal. if i get rid of one, the other will bite the dust. that's my luck.

pics attached. it's been through a multitude of problems, but i had everything sorted out...supposedly. it was leaking before, but nothing major. in the process of getting it to stop making funky noises when spinning (2 nuts missing off the motor mount, the cinderblock used to counterbalance the washer came loose, and 1 of the "crossmembers" came out of it's tracks), i guess i loosened the seal in the picture the rest of the way, as it turned into niagra falls when i turned it on.

that white caulk was not there to begin with.

that seal is a pain in the fucking ass. once you get it mostly into position, another part of it falls out of place. so, i got half of it into position, then took some tub and tile caulk and gooped it up. i figured in this manner, i can get the rest of it into position once this stuff sets. and ya know what, it was 99% of the way in position this morning when i went to fuck with it. i figured that the last 1% would be no problem, because there's a metal ring that goes in there and expands to hold the seal firmly into place.

well, my thinking was good, but it's not going to work. that ring is somehow damn compressed into that spot to hold the seal (note, the ring is out right now). while i may be able to get the seal into place, i can't get the ring in unless i play a physical battle with it, bending and contorting it and shoving it into place. guess what's gonna happen in the meantime.......the seal is going to come out of place in the process. also, the ring has a bolt/nut setup so you can expand it to force more pressure on the seal. well, i realized when i was trying to put it back in that there's not a chance in hell i'm going to be able to physically get to the bolt to expand it if i can even get it where it belongs.

my only other option at this point is to continue to caulk that seal into place and just really go apeshit with the caulk. but how long that'll last, who knows. i don't even know if it'll work in the first place.

so i'm out of ideas.

A few options grease up the seat before hand and try to put the gasket in, the grease will help hold the gasket in place and condition the rubber.
If it is still difficult to seat, try heating or cooling it in a water bath to make it fit better. Hard to tell from the picture which one you need.
As for the metal expansion gasket which holds the rubber one in place... use a cold water bath to shrink it and it will make it easier to place.
Also may want to try putting the gasket on the letal ring and installing them both at once, just a thought.
Let me know how it goes, going to look for an exploded view of your machine to see if I can help more... Most of all be patient, it is just a damn machine, I know your frusteration though trust me, I work on pumps and motors all day long.

Forgot to mention this as well... if all else fails and you want to shoot the damn thing head to a hardware store...there is a liquid gasket material made, I forget the name, I will see if I can find it. Basically squirt it in place, cold water bath and apply retaining ring.

trying to shrink the metal ring by cooling it isn't gonna work unless i'm using some liquid nitrogen. i can try, but i kinda doubt it's going to shrink enough.

sealing the whole thing with a gasket sealer as a perminet solution might be my only choice at this point. the only other thing i could try to do is rip the entire damn thing 100% apart and go from there. kinda hesitant to do that though, as i know it's going to create more problems than it will solve.

on the plus side - $3.48 later i've got a new bleeder screw in my front driver's side caliper and a spare one if needed. the passenger's side bleeder came right open. i opened all 4 bleeder screws for about 25 minutes and kept pouring fluid into the master cylinder. was trying to make the bleeding process faster for when i can get to it, and flush the system out a bit. won't have anyone availible to bleed the system with me til tomorrow (barbara won't get done work til after 9), but i don't need the car today anyway. should be pretty quick at each tire tomorrow and i'll be back in business with that rusted out piece of shit.
