I am not justifying the shooting, but I have noticed that Palestinians really tempt fate. You can see them hurling rocks and various other objects at Isralie soldiers. Such objects can be a hazard to a soldiers life, especially when a mob of 50 or so people is doing it all at once. Therefore the Isralie soldiers start shooting because they have defend them selves. Now I am not anti Palestinian or anything like that, and killing of innocent young girls is most definately wrong. But I am just saying I have noticed some very questionable acts by the Palestinians as well. They still have a long ways to go towards the roadmap of peace.

Too many people are using the weak argument that the soldiers are defending themselves in the midst of riots and rock throwing. STOP MAKING ASSUMPTIONS. DO SOME RESEARCH. The Israeli government is locking up families (this includes children) of suspected terrorists. This is not just the immediate family either. The Israeli Army has bombed apartment complexes that housed suspected terrorists. Innocents were also collateral damage in these attacks. These cases show the plain disregard for the lives of any Palestinian. Collective punishment is a total violation of almost every international system of law. Totally ridiculous. Yet the US sends them... what is it... 8 Billion a year?

I think the unfortunate truth is that all of these crimes will go unpunished... and the majority of the American people will never believe they ever happened (Jenin for instance)... or even if they do know, they'll forget by the next Super Bowl. Believe me... how many people even remember that we bombed the piss out of Yugoslavia? Same ol story....

I am sorry if I have offended you in anyway, and please don't kick my ass for I am only 16. All I am saying is that there are 2 sides to every story, and neither the Isralies nor the Palestinians are saints here. I was just using the rock throwing as a basis to state that the Palestinians are not 100% correct in this conflict. I also do not recall making ANY pro Isralie comments and the images of angry Palestinian mobs are what I witness every day on CNN. Oh and when I said "They still have a long ways to go towards the road map of peace" I mean both the Isralies and the Palestinians, so dont consider that an anti Palestinian comment. I believe that the Isralie government does have a tendency to act irrational at times, and so does the Palestinians. Please you must understand that I do not support just one side, and I am merely trying to show that neither side is correct. Oh and just one quick not: You said that the Isralies are blowing up apartment complexes that supposively house terrorists and the innocents get hurt in the collateral damage. But dont the Palestinian suicide bombers deliberately TARGET innocents in crowded bazaars and city squares? You must look at the fact that Israel's primary target is the terrorist, not the children playing nearby his house. Where as the Palestinian suicide bomber's primary target is innocent civilians. Although this does not justify the killing of civilians by the Israelies. Just something I thought was interesting. Like I said I, am not pro-Israel and I think the two sides should really talk this out and concentrate on ending the needless bloodshed.

I totally believe that this is going on... I really don't think the Israeli soldiers are angels. Fuck... Sharon had soldiers breaking the arms of any Palestinian that throws a rock at one time... the footage of this was pretty brutal. The point is this... the violence has escalated so high and the Israelis are a hated group surrounded by enemies... their response to violence has become increasingly brutal. There is no end in sight. The locking of children and families is the only thing these terrorist understand. If they know their family will suffer for their actions, it is proven they are less likely to commit bombings etc..

It is hardly an answer to the problem.... but we don't live in this climate. So... until we do it is difficult to judge if their methods are too harsh. Imagine if every day you leave your house you are in danger of being blown to smithereens by some suicidal muslim? I am sure you would become pretty brutal as well.
